Sigh, same old cycle under ENIC. As long as they are here, Kane won't be the last quality player who wants out. Come to a stage now that when a player like him hangs around as long as he has, it's a surprise.

What's different about Kane is he has come through the ranks at us and has more of an affinity towards the club than say Bale, Berbatov, Modric etc however even then, he can see nothing is going to fundamentally change and wants out. Can't argue that the players mentioned were wrong to push for a move, all gone on to bigger and better things.

If we do actually sell Kane this summer, I can only imagine it would be because our finances our absolutely dire.

But make no mistake, forget challenging for top 4 for the forseeable future.

If we lose Kane, we are way way way behind the likes of Leicester who will have Vardy and Inneacho, United, City, Liverpool, Chelsea.

Our defence and midfield is already pathetic. The only thing holding us up was Kane.

If we lose him, it would mean our defence, midfield and attack is literally a mess. We would genuinely be a midtable side, if not worse.

Is this what Levy wanted? A shiny billion pound stadium to finish midtable?

I just can't see us selling because there are so many negatives for us, beside money in the bank.

If it is inevitable and selling him is a foregone conclusion then I would:

- Only sell to City of the Prem clubs (most ahead of us of all clubs)
- Set a 'by the beginning of pre-season' deadline (we absolutely cannot let this drag)
- Have a fixed agreed price with no negotiation. Make that absolutely clear no fucking around
- £150m cash
- £100m cash plus G Jesus and Ake (I think both of these players as starters can be very good)

.....this is depressing

The guy is genuinely irreplaceable and it will be incredibly sad when he goes, but if we could bring in the following players with his transfer fee we could really be competitive next year with a proper manager.

Daka
Ings
Bissouma
Zaha

Its key that we spend on quality rather than quantity and hopefully Levy has learnt his lesson from the Bale fiasco.

The players you list are fantastic and I would take all day....
But I think they would struggle playing with our backline.....need a few defenders on that list.... preferable ones that can defend.

I think Levy will sell for around £130-150 and add in clauses relating to things like success and appearances club or England

I think the fact the City fans don't seem to want him but instead are wanking themselves stupid over Haarland is actually quite funny. If he goes there, every chance he misses will have them saying 'Haarland would have buried that' (entitled wankers that they are).

Coutinho and Hazard the bench mark for price surely. The later went to Madrid with one year on his contract for in excess of £100. I think min for Kane has to be £130m

It’s probably been discussed or suggested already but is it possible last summer Kane and Levy had a sort of gentleman’s agreement that he gives it a year under a winner like Jose and sees how it goes. Like Modric. Maybe Levy said if we’re not in CL or have won anything I’ll allow you to go. Would explain if it’s less than £150m as that is hugely disappointing if so.

If we have any ambition moving forward Kane and new manager will be sorted in next 10 days. We simply cannot let both drag on into the euros and beyond. I’m sure we’ll not let that happen....

Where has all this guaranteed trophies come from? The only thing guaranteed in life is death and taxes.

If Kane wanted guarantees he would have asked to leave several years ago. He didn’t, because he still believed that we could at least compete for the big trophies and had a decent chance of winning something.

We’re going backwards fast. Even Stevie Wonder can see it.

City obviously is the best choice for him, but he’s far more likely to compete at Utd than us. Anyone who doesn't think they are a step up from us is deluded.
Well from this interview with Neville it's obvious that he wants to win trophies, not competing about them. United didn't won anything for 5 years, they have chance for EL but I think if Kane goes it will be for club with bigger chance for the most important trophies.

They are currently ahead of us, but with good manager it can easily change. I would say it's more likely that in next 1-2 years we will be ahead United than United will be closer to winning CL or PL than we were in previous seasons.
