I wonder if we'll see a continuation of people saying the same thing, basically, variations on 'this needs sorting out quickly' or 'we can't let this drag on'. I mean, it's pretty much all we've had for a few days now and it must easily run to 20 pages a day, just of that, never mind the rest.

Although I must admit, each time some wise sage repeats it, i'm sure someone else says "fuck me, that's the fifth time he's said that, I wasn't sure to begin with but that fifth time has convinced me......I think i'll agree now" :playful:

He will score different types of goals to HK. Who knows how the numbers might end up comparing though. Unfair to judge him on his Everton numbers because he was always in a relegation fight although most of their fans credit him with keeping them up

Also mostly played out wide with a goal ratio not that far off Son

We have already rebuilt our scouting function under fab. We've employed a lot more in that department over the last 2-3 years.
Have we? Got any proof of who we've taken on? To my mind I can only think of steinson leaving and not any others coming in? Seems like we've gone backwards this year.

Because some fans think unless we replace Kane immediately with a shiny new forward we may as well close the club down.

I mean I dont think we should close the club down but if we're selling a player of Kane's stature and ability we should bring in a reinforcement. Isn't that just obvious squad building.

The levy apologists are out in force. Utd dropping 70plus mill on a striker and 60 on an am in the same window without blinking whilst wanting the ownership out. Us selling a generational talent and filling a position we should have signed 3 years ago.

Yeah I agree, it’s all about squad building. But Squad building is about buying the right players in the right positions for the right coach. Squad building is not about spending a wedge trying to replace Kane to appease the fans.

I’m much more worried about sorting out the defence than I am about replacing Kane.

I’m no Levy apologist, I just see the problems with the team differently.

The problems will shift around. If we sign a good CB we'll miss Kane's goal and assist contribution and have the issue up the other end.

Just can't understand how we can't afford a tapsoba type player and Maddison. We pay the most in the league to watch the team and have go kart tracks, concerts, American football. How the hell is this possible.

I know it's crazy. We should be doing BOTH. That's what a club should do, and can do. We're a big club but don't act like one.

I would love us to do both but I just can’t see it. So given the choice between spending most of the Kane cash on a new forward or strengthening the defence I would prefer we choose the latter.

Bayern have no intention of making reasonable or respectful offers. Until they show they're willing to offer something reasonable, we just shouldn't be talking to them.

The whole story only exists because of their press.

I’d tell them we want Mathys tel or no deal.

Leave it to them and give them a deadline of one week.

if they don’t sort it out then it’s done and Kane stays for one more year.
