I can't wait to see what Steve "I hate transfer windows" Hitchen comes up with when the shackles come off.
It will be interesting to see, so far Bergwijn is the only signing that was definitely his and not Jose's. Rodon too but I believe that was Trevor Birch doing that deal.

He has a 3 year contract, he's in no position to be dictating a move on his own terms, hopefully Levy sticks to a ridiculous valuation of at least £150mill up front,
If Kane invokes the Webster ruling he is in absolute control over his destination (and will go for much less than £100m) - and Spurs have very little leverage in that case.

Kane would have to make that known within 15 days of today - which may be why he said he wanted things sorted by the Euros.

Doubt they’d go for Sancho if got Kane. They’d likely have Rashford Kane Greenwood front three with Fernandes behind. Kane dropping off and picking out runs in behind would bring out best of Rashford and Greenwood too.
People can go on about how Utd aren’t far ahead of us, put Kane in their side and he could easily thrust them into being title contenders.
Well regardless I’ll become a City/Chelsea/Liverpool fan if he goes to United

Great so we sell Kane and we can look forward mark 2 versions of Soldado, Paulinho, Chiriches, Capoue, Chadli, Lamela, throw in a couple of Donerty, Sanchez, Sissoko type signings and we are all set. We could also ice the cake with some more averageness N'Dombele mk2 and Lo Celso. We are the epitome of average.

Levy has learnt nothing, I have seen this story before I know how it ends. And before someone says Lamela is 'not bad' or N'Dombele has been 'ok' so far thats great the level we aim for is not bad.

What an absolute clusterF***

Seems to be inevitable this transfer now but the burning question won't be losing Kane, it'll be who we spend the funds on.

Nobody out there in football who's attainable for us will yield the same return as Kane let's get that straight so we need to adapt our game to bring about a better goal return from other positions.

As always, let's see how we lie come September but last thing we, and indeed the incoming manager would want this saga rumbling on.

He is a fabulous talent but all players leave/retire at some point and the club lives on. The great double team lost John White and Dave Mackay our greatest players IMO but in time Keith Burkinshaw had us back challenging and winning trophies.

Love Harry, but looks like it's over.

Other clubs through the decades have lost their top players, players who have won them trophies year after year.

Surely we can move on, the worse that can happen is we don't win any trophies anytime soon...No change there then.

This is exactly the sort of placid reaction Levy and ENIC will be banking on. Followed swiftly by a purchase of the highest priced tickets in the league.

We can already forget finishing above City anytime soon even if we didn't sell them Kane. They are on another level so for me selling to them doesn't worry me at all.

Selling to United or Chelsea would seriously fill me with fear and dread. We can't sell to to top 4 rivals no matter what they offer.

No way he’ll go to Chelsea. Levy selling your generational ‘one of our own’ talent to another team in your league is bad enough. Selling him to your London rival would probably have people climbing into the Directors’ Box wanting to tear him limb from limb.

PR around the club is at a low, probably the lowest it’s been during ENIC, imagine he did that?!

Mate we wont be winning anything as long as those 2 charlatans are still around

City will be the club guys. Kane wants guaranteed trophies and he’s not going to get them anywhere else.

As gutted as I am, Trippier just won the league, Eriksen just won serie A.

I love Harry, but it's time.

He needs to win silverware. For a player of his calibre to potentially end his career with no major honours is unthinkable.

If there is any player of the last 30 years who deserves the opportunity to play and win at the highest possible level it's Harry.

He's given his all for us, and to my mind we have failed HIM by not being able to offer him a realistic chance of winning something here.

So, for me, IF he goes (and I hope he doesn't) he goes will my utmost respect and appreciation for everything he gave us. I would hate to see him play for Chelsea, but anywhere else and I'll be cheering for him still.

As a club we've seen players come and go, the club is constant.

It's time to thank him for his service and wish him luck. I don't much care who is to blame or what would have happened if things were done differently a couple of years ago. We are where we are, and today I don't think there is an honest fan who doesn't understand his position

Kane never demanded guaranteed trophies. He demanded we were ambitious, on the right trajectory, able to compete. United offer that. Meanwhile we have replaced Dembele with Ndombele, Eriksen with Lo Celso, Vertonghen with Sanchez, Walker with Doherty. We failed our end of the bargain through a total lack of ambition.

So we should grow some balls and hold him to his contract, it is more valuable to us the the money.

We knew that anyway. Don’t get me wrong, if we sell Kane then I will be placing the blame solely and squarely at Levy and ENIC. I’m done with them.

If they thought wednesday was unpleasant, then wait until next season. I think Levy will have to stop coming to games. It will get bad. West Ham owner protest levels of bad I suspect with pitch invasions, anti levy and Enic songs etc.
