Harty Kane again failed to report to Tottenham training on Tuesday morning but the England captain is expected to return to the club later this week. The striker was due back at Spurs for Covid testing and the start of his pre-season yesterday morning but chose not to return, as he attempts to force through a record-breaking transfer to Manchester City.

Yeah damage is done here.

If he thinks he had this Gentleman's agreement with Levy (whatever that means) then his agent should have made sure that there was a clause in his contract that if a club offered x amount then we'd have to accept it, that's what Toby did.

He should be pissed off with his agent for not getting him the right deal and pissed off with Man City for not valuing him as much as we think he's worth.

I really can't see a world where he leaves now, Levy is gonna dig his heels in even more and I can't see City offering £150m. Despite Kane staying away I still don't think he'd down tools like that, it just doesn't fit his image.

But regardless of all this he's burned a lot of bridges at the club because of the way he's acted, shame really.

Finally looks like the penny has dropped that it was not good for the Kane brand as the clean cut goody two shoes family man.
Doesn't change what's going to happen in the long run but there is a way through this with some kind of honour, and without looking like a petulant tit.

He's done plenty already that 'doesn't fit his image'.

I think not turning up to train is one thing but downing tools and not making himself available for matches is another, he's got way too much to lose.

I doubt the brother will be strutting his stuff about the place on match days. Too many fruit loops about.

He should be pissed at City for offering peanuts, not us for turning it down. Must be thick as shit. Whatever he had left to lose after the Neville interview is gone now anyway.

if its a agreement between two men,
how come the whole world is privy to it ?

also how do the media know ,he was due back yesterday ,
is this information available to everyone or just talksport and Sky ?

last thing do Man City really need Kane ?
they seem to be doing well without him and the strikers they already have at the club

If it was any club other than Spurs id be right with you in applying that logic. But, its Spurs so who knows.

I cant rule out he could turn it around, it could be a weak moment when he let emotions get the better, a spin could be put on it.
