Chelsea and Spurs don't and will never do business together. This deal will never happen.

I don't think that is the case now. We may not do business with them, but they have new owners and changed quite a bit in terms of personnel within their structure... so in future I can see that changing.

This one doesn't make sense on multiple levels to me.

- Conte seems to want strong, direct dribblers for that RW role. Ziyech isn't very strong and easily pushed off the ball, while his real strength is his absolute wand of a left foot. I think he far better suits a possession-based team than a direct team like us.

- He's been moody about being rotated at Chelsea, and clearly wants to play more minutes. He won't get that here and might even play fewer minutes than he does there.

- And perhaps the biggest of all, he plays for Chelsea. Boehly wants good-will from the fans. The last thing he's going to do is sell a player to their arch rivals.

Complete non-starter.

Even if Chelseas new owners were open to sell to a fierce enemy would they want to strengthen a top 3/4 rival ?
I just can't see it.

Didn’t he make us look utterly stupid in one of the losses against them season last? Totally dominated that side of the pitch - and didn’t look like he had problems doing the defensive part either IIRC.

Never understood why he didn’t got more playing time with the chavs. Injury problems?

He was excellent in our loss at Stamford Bridge.
Quite bizarrely the commentary team insisted on repeatedly saying it was so unusual to see him played out of position at RWB… despite the fact Chelsea had clearly changed up their formation for the game and had gone with a back four!

None of that Ajax team have gone on to do that well. Saying that he was good at twente too. I thought he was going back to Holland.

RWB in defense, RWF/almost a free role in attack, wasn’t it?

The way I remember it he was right of a front three with Azpilicueta at RB. He may have offered cover in front of Azpilicueta at times, though Mount did more of that than Ziyech.

I'm sure they have some idea about how to keep their fans happy.
Would Chelsea fans really care? If they signed Lucas from us, would we be going nuts - I don’t think so. Sure it would tarnish Lucas in our memories somewhat, but would there be a huge fans backlash against a cup or would it be a fart in a hurricane

I don't understand it either. We've signed a few players from them over the years. If the deal suits I don't think it would make a difference.
I can't see us buying a one of their best players though, only squad players

The fans weren't why the clubs stopped dealing with eachother, it was personal between the two boards after the poaching of Arnensen as far as i remeber. Before that transfers between the clubs did happen occassionally

Really like this guy, but I got the impression he's one of those players who needs to play regularly to perform at his best. His first season at Chelsea was very stop-start though, so it might just have been that.

Really think he will. As of next week we’re literally 3 games a week till Christmas. Squad rotations bigger this year than ever

Ziyech 'desperate' for Spurs move

Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech would prefer a move to Tottenham than to rejoin former club Ajax, with the Moroccan ‘desperate’ to leave Stamford Bridge, according to the Daily Express.

Sounds more like he is desperate to leave Chelsea. Anywhere ?‍♂️
