More history was made at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Friday evening as legendary rock band Guns N’ Roses played the first-ever music concert at our new home.

Tens of thousands of fans descended on N17 to soak in the atmosphere as the world-famous American group, led by iconic frontman Axl Rose, performed a terrific set, including favourites like Welcome to the Jungle, Live and Let Die, November Rain and Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door.

There was even a surprise appearance from country sensation Carrie Underwood, who joined in a rendition of Sweet Child o’ Mine and the encore performance of Paradise City.

Could Axl still reach the high notes or did they get Cuti to run on and kick him in the plums at the appropriate moments?

Out of interest and purely on a greed note, what do we make financially from an event like this and is it factored into the clubs accounts? Just off to count my schekels and see if I can afford a pint!

Don't know how much money we make. My guess is a profit of about 2m, with brand intangibles probably worth that much again
Any income will go into the clubs accounts I think, maybe via subsidiary company
The intangibles help push up the asset value. If we can avoid war, Covid and monkeypox, won't be long before ENIC club valuation reaches 4bn I reckon

Thanks, I won't be around to see it but I believe maybe ENIC will have long term plans to develop to take this project to the next stage where THFC is morphed into a financial institution that rivals any football club in the world. World dominance without oil or blood money. I just wish I was a lot younger as this club could be the powerhouse for the future, exciting times for young Spurs fans, I just hope they retain the mantra 'its all about glory' and not just success. Thanks for your wisdom and I will go and lay down now, too much excitement is not good for my blood pressure, or I could watch the cricket and get really depressed!
Happy days

Thanks for kind words ?
I'm a pensioner myself, but not old enough to have seen the push and run team
The great teams you have seen must have given so many wonderful memories.
Here's hoping we both live long enough to see another title campaign
And yes the youngsters should have a bright Spurs future in front of them.
