AVB is in the second year of a three year contract and I am backing him as the man to take the club forward. I don't want the club to adopt a wait and see policy. Meaning if he gets us into the CL he will get a new contract, if he doesn't he won't. I would like to see him get a new contract even if we don't finish in the top four.

Yes we have spent a lot of money and we have a lot of good players but it will take time to click into place, we will get the goals. It may be that some people don't really find their best form until next season. I don't want more upheaval and transition in the summer with a new manager. Who perhaps might want to get in players of his own, it could mean that Baldini goes as well.

AVB is a young manager, still learning his trade but he has put more steel into the side and we are able to win games 1 - 0. He could have taken the PSG job but didn't, lets repay his loyalty and have patience as he tries to shape the side in his own image.

Completely agree with this.....I'd be happy to see him given a new five year deal,I think he's a big part of the reason we were able to sign the likes of Lamela,Paulinho, etc.

I'm not sure about a five year deal but certainly should be given a new contract, he is moving us forward bit by bit, even with obstacles, him and levy make a good team, the only thing missing is a more positive style of football! And I believe that will come soon

Couldn't agree more. This club is crying out for some stability. He's far more important than any multi-million pound player we might look at in the transfer window.

I Could not agree more, one of the reasons our great club sunk low during the late 80's 90's was because we kept changing managers, we need stability, a long term plan and we have that in AVB.

Agree, but the question is- would AVB want to stay?

He has repeatedly said he wants a short career and has suggested that he likes to move on from a club quite quickly.

If we don't get CL and PSG or someone else come calling again, we could be in trouble.

All the more reason to give a new bumper contract, meaning a bigger buy out clause. Ker-Ching!!

I think he would yes, if we don't make CL he will want to make sure that we make it, next time around. He's a winner.

Until the results turn and everyone wonders why we did it after a year and two months. I am very much behind AVB, but settle until January.

Im not anti AVB but at present his style is boring and we should be doing much better with the calibre of players Levy has signed.

Suppose the alternative is bringing back the Ossie approach to tactics but I was quite pleased with best start to a season in our Premier league history personally.

I'd like to see him a contract until 2016.

AVB might be in football management for a relatively short period but surely he'll relish the challenge of turning our current young squad into something special.

He has the DOF he requested so although we might not be moneybags we do offer him support.

...and if we slip of of the top 4 get shot of him?

No, but maybe hold off on a new contract!

I do not want to see more chop and change, but I am still undecided on AVB. If by the end of the season we have slipped below 5th and still look like we couldn't score at a nurses hen party, then I would not want the cost of a massive redundancy payment to be a factor in deciding the way forward.

Hopefully though he will have done enough to deserve another season, and we can take it from there.

I figure it'll be at the end of the season where we'll see a new contract for our Jefe, and I'll be the first to raise my beer glass!
