Personally reckon it'll take him a couple of seasons to get to grips with the physicallity and pace of the premier league.

If he came to the prem now for another club, or indeed Spurs, i just don't see him setting the league alight and rising his value astronomically.

Good player, work in progress. That's before entering one of, if not, the hardest leagues in world football.

maybe, I was just being facetious though.

This guy has done nothing special, he’s just this windows youtube star and the likes of West Ham are welcome to him.

We should be creating our own Gift Orbans if anything, set up a relationship with one of these 5th rate leagues/clubs and start loaning players (for free) like Scarlett to see if they standout.

Orban isnt even the standout player or scorer for Gent, the top scorer last season cant even get an international cap for Belgium.

Never are we going to pay 35m for a developing young player with potential, for that sort of money you want the semi finished article. 15-20m max for this type of signing IMO.
Unless the asking price is drastically reduced don't think this is gonna happen.
How long can Gent hold out to see if someone bites at their asking price because they risk losing 20m that they may not get the opportunity again. Last day vibes if anything.

We’re looking at Brennan Johnson for even more money and he’s only 12 months older than Orban.

Way more proven though and also HG

Maybe Johnson has a higher floor but Orban definitely have the higher ceiling IMO.

While we might want to avoid high potential, highs risks buys for record type signings (e.g. Ndombele), we can probably get Orban for a price that makes the upside potential worth it.

I like Orban but £30m for him is just as overpriced as £50m is for Johnson. How many would Johnson get in the Belgian league? We have signed more proven strikers from better leagues in the past for less. Vincent Janssen springs to mind, even if it was a number of years ago.

If I was Levy I would offer Gent a much lower initial fee (something like £15m and structure it in a way in which it could reach something like £45m). If they won't take that then i'd be tempted to walk away. He looks like an excellent finisher and fox in the box but his physicality is under question, and at the same time doesn't look to be able to operate out wide either.

Johnson for me is worth no more than £35m if we're talking straight cash. An absolute no on that one for the mooted price, but i'd stomach it if we could get him for £25m and Sanchez maybe.
