I’m loving all these young up and coming players we are signing/potentially signing. We already have a nucleus of younger players and are now adding to them with very good young players. All of the below are 24 and under:

Skipp, Gil, Royal, Sessegnon, Kulusevski, Porro, Spence, Sarr, Udogie, Solomon, Phillips, Veliz, Van de Ven and potentially Orban.

Even the next age bracket up to 26 includes, Bissouma, Maddison, Vicario, Richarlison, Romero and Bentancur.

If you then look at some of the talent we have in our youth team aswell it all bodes well in my opinion (Scarlett, Moore, Donley, Dorrington etc)

🇳🇬🔵 #Tottenham in contact with #KAAGent for Gift Orban!
⚪️ #Spurs could go as high as €30M (including bonuses) according to the latest oral discussions undertaken with their Belgian counterparts.
🇦🇺 The profile of the Nigerian striker has been validated by Ange Postecoglou.
🟢🚦The green light to send the written offer is obviously linked to the Harry Kane affair.
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 The English are anticipating the market by paying €30m in 2023 than have to offer the double once Orban has exploded in an intermediate league...
⏳ Wait&See. #mercato #PL #JPL

I think a buy and loan back transfer is ideal for his development should Kane stay and also appeal very much to Gent who might be more obliging on the fee.
Yeah worked great for Udogie. 1 season at loan at a club where he's settled and guaranteed game time then comes to Spurs when there's (likely) a spot in the squad for him.

He looks incredibly raw.

I’m not sure throwing €30m at him is money best spent with our current defensive frailties / requirements.

It’s the approach that brought us our most recent era of success, and what we will need to do if we stand any chance of getting back amongst it.

Pleasing to see

A season in Serie A is at a much higher level than a season in the Belgian league though - huge difference in quality.

Strong interest according to Ali Gold

“Rather than an established name, they would more likely have to go for a young player like Gent's Gift Orban, who Spurs have a strong interest in, and rely on Richarlison to score far more this season.”

Not Gift related, but I have to say: I’m getting a serious man crush on our new head coach. Not only does he speak English (of sorts), but he’s quoted in the article saying stuff like this:

"I really wasn't happy with that last five or six minutes of the first half, we were just playing for 1-0, that doesn't sit well with me.”

This is the Tottenham I grew up loving. Gotta love this Aussie! 😍😍😍

He's worth the risk. We can work something out depending on the Kane situation but if we don't take the risk then he could be out of our reach next season.

The feeling when one of the divine ITKs give you a rating … 🤩

… and it’s one of Herc’s big thumbs giving you a dislike. 🥺😢

(I hope)

I do have to say, he can strike a ball with the best of them. Both feet. All distances and angles. Can’t teach his elite instincts as well. Quite raw/unrefined in the build up though. Under Ange these shortcomings should be mitigated. Like others have said, might not be immediately ready, but if he goes Lille/Lens, could be looking at 45+ mil soon after a la David/Openda.

Certainly is refreshing after the two dinosaurs we had previously.
