I hope if we get this kid he turns out to be mustard but I cant help but feel we are massively gambling post Kane. We appear to be pinning our hopes on Richarlison (who has never scored more than 13 in a season) and 2 younger CFs and hoping one or both of them reach their potentials. Liverpool lost Coutinho and went out and bought Alisson and VVD - proven quality. We dont seem to be going down that same path and it does concern me slightly.

I like the thought of this but only feel unsure when I wonder if he would be the only attacker incoming if Kane goes. Are people expecting Orban and maybe another wide player?
I think Veliz goes out on loan and Orban is the back up. I don’t see us getting a wide player unless Gil leaves tbh. Personally considering we are loosing a world class striker I don’t find that enough of strengthening in attack and I would like us to spend a good chunk on a quality young wide player but it’s not going to happen imo.

Think we are going to blow it on untested kids. Like I keep saying. This isn’t like Coutinho. It’s nothing money in todays market. Whereas the money they go then was game changing. It’s nothing like the Bale summer either when he went for similar money in a transfer market where £20 million could feasibly buy you quality experienced players, and £8 million could buy you Christian Eriksen.

Yeah I don't think it's strong enough at all. It's heavily reliant on two players in Son and Kulusevski who may have small question marks over their suitability to this system and a striker in Richarlison who is yet to hit the ground running for us, for different reasons.

You just have to hope that we'll be attacking the market in a fashion that reflects us losing one of the best strikers in the world, but I too am a little apprehensive.

Yep we’d need to sign a top class goalscoring RW as well if so imo.

He does seem to have the right mentality. Can't be easy going from Togo and Nigeria to Norway, although i assume he speaks English, which probably helped get by.

I get your point in theory, but that’s an odd comparison. Liverpool sold Coutinho (AM) and replaced him with VVD (CB) and Alisson (GK).
If we sold Kane and bought a high calibre striker that would be the opposite of what Liverpool did. They used the money to upgrade other areas of the team.
Would us replacing Kane with a young forward and ploughing the main money into someone like Tapsoba to cover an area of pressing need, not be a similar scenario to Liverpool ?
