I wonder how many here would turn down 600k or 800k quid a week for a couple of years in another country

If I was a multi multi millionaire at the top of my game, and the pick of any job in the world, there’s not a chance in the world that I’d uproot my family to go and live in a communist dictatorship simply because one of their corrupt oligarchs is willing to pay me to go and play in their two bit league.

I’d like to think I’d have more self respect than that. I’m disappointed in Bale for considering it tbh.

Its also possible an steroid will hit us. I think its better to think positive that's how people have survived for thousands of years

That's part of my point. IF things go well, as they probably will, Bale and his family are set for life. They can spend millions a year and make it back immediately. In the unlikely event that things do go disastrously wrong, then the extra money from China will make no difference. Therefore in his position I'd rather do what made me happy rather than go to the other side of the world to play in a rubbish league for a few extra bucks.

To be fair, I think most people that have been to China or lived there any number of years etc have quite liked it. ??‍♂️

Ultimately its his choice. You may think its not right for you but surely Bale being a legend (not a bell end) of ours is entitled to his democratic right to live where he wants

And where did I say it wasn’t?

I didn't say that, but you did make a reference to the Communist regime and Bale is certainly not becoming a communist and has every right to go there and cop a million quid every week from the communists

Doesn’t matter where the Chinese league ranks, If he only goes there for a year and gets paid enough, it will be hard to turn down.

So... the equivalent of leaving a reputable company for an obscure one on the basis of money alone, you'd say....:X3:

It’s not about helping real out as im sure I read the Chinese club are paying around €25 million for him. Your telling me a European club wouldn’t have been in for Bale at that fee. It appears what has put the clubs off is his wage demands.

Yes I understand the perspective why should he take a pay cut to move on from real.

But the other side of things he could have taken a pay cut played two/three more seasons at top level European football and then moved to China or where ever and earned more millions.

if you have a contract for 3 years at 600kpw why would anyone in the world take such a massive drop in wages if teams in Europe are only willing to pay 2-300k, when deep down you love living where you live.

I actually don't think he will go, and that this is all media making it a story. with a very young family and when it comes to football his only real focus is to play for Wales. if they fail to get in the next world cup he might just retire from football all together, and might be the reason to move, but as said with a young family and the pollution in China I just don't see it.

RM made their bed in offering him silly money, Bale has to either stick it out, and hope RM pay him off, or if he wants the money go to China. with what he has achieved in Spain he might not see trophies that important. if he goes to China and earns the silly money offered he can retire in 3 years and do whatever he wants without any worry for the rest of his life. with 2 young kids he knows them and their children will never ever want in life, tell me anyone in this world that wouldn't do that given ½ the chance

He could have done that years ago. IMO the amount these players earn has nothing to do with financial need or security and everything to do with ego and kudos.
