SSN: BALE DEAL AGREED- WORLD RECORD FEE- BREAKTHROUGH LAST NIGHT
If this article is true then it will have massive reverberations around football. Such a pre-contract surely breaks all UEFA rules and is therefore unlikely to be enforceable. If it was me I would just refuse to sell him. Such a contract is bad in so many ways, not least that is stops the selling club selling in a free market as the player turns everyone else down. This really makes me wonder about Modric, was such a deal in place there as well?I'm trying to get my head around the article. Is it saying that Bale will come in for a £20 million windfall if Madrid fails to sign him?

The Gareth Bale saga is nearing a conclusion as Sky Sports News reports that the Welshman is now on the verge of completing his move from Tottenham Hotspur to Real Madrid. Nothing has been announced officially yet but it is thought that Bale is hopeful of finalising his move, and a world-record deal could go through today.

Yep! Doesn't make sense unless Levy's going to give an announcement today about our own incoming!I'm not too worried about that, because it would be a bit odd to announce it on such a big day for the club and they've said it will be announced about a thousand times this summer.
It just seems like an unnecessary distraction on the day of the NLD. Then again, so is the media circus. Fuck it, the game is more important!
