I’m weirdly excited. Might just be because we had to wait so long to have a manager. Really good first interview from him. Basically we all just want to enjoy watching us again and going to games. It really isn’t much to ask. But he needs to be given a decent hand by those above him. Without that he really doesn’t stand a chance.

I actually wanted Nuno, instead of Mourinho...back then. The last few months of his time at Wolves, how he looked, his body language and the reported reasons for leaving Wolves, i thought, this guys needs some time out....lets hope he re-charges super quick, as he going to need it.

Mourinho time and the sole crushing football we had to endure, the shambolic process of trying to find someone to take the Job, has certainly made me fall a little out of love with Spurs, i can't deny it. Nuno, can you rekindle the love?

I just had a phone call from Paddy Power, at least I think it was them. Some Irish fella laughing his bollocks off down the line at me, and all he kept saying was “fucking Nuno, he was about the only one you didn’t put any money on, you silly prick.”

That first interview felt like a breath of fresh air.

We turn over a new leaf and the season starts anew. I am looking forward to seeing what it brings.

He passes the “don’t immediately cringe when he opens his mouth” test and looks like a likeable enough bloke. There’s a surprising amount to be said for that.

Is this the thread where we all meet up like after we've been to Prague for the weekend and the plane's landed but we can't face going home yet so go down the local for 'a last couple of pints'?

That is SO what this thread is, brilliant observation!

I like him. Lots of things about the situation that I am incredibly unhappy about. But none of that's his fault.

Meh! Hope he proves all us doubters wrong! But I’m still on the reckoning he needs to get off to a good start and actually exciting play football. If he doesn’t can see it all turning toxic very very quickly. As let’s not make any mistake about this he is a hugely underwhelming appointment.

I think Nuno will do well. The players will be in for a tough pre-season next month and I can't wait to see how Paratici handles our transfers.

haha, exactly

Except this is also the 'back to normal' thread where none of the shit that we tolerated (and shamefully encouraged) in the last toilet will be suffered in here.

If you haven’t seen his interview yet. All the luck to Nuno. COYS.

Definitely like the guy but quite funny that the interview is him methodically defending his philosophy and addressing the DNA stuff, saying he'll use young players, then finishing by doing what Poch did saying he'll make us proud, which everyone loved.

Cracking bit of PR from the club there ?

Good luck to Nuno. Big summer needed.

I’m gutted, disillusioned and convinced we’ll finish in the bottom half of the table. I’ve also decided I won’t be giving this club any of my money this season. I’m also convinced I’ll be weak enough to change this view after a couple of wins. I hate this club because I love them so much.

I like his team bonding skills & the way he celebrates with his coaching staff.

We need some of that team spirit heading into next season.

Honestly, if he just brings back some joy and excitement to this club I’m good with it. Feels like an eternity since the Poch “Good Ol’ Days.”
