Not sure if this has been done already but couldn't find it (Mods please forgive possible duplication and/or wrong location as this is the first time I've dared to create a thread).
This recent article and the comments below made me wistful about not being able to get in to see Spurs. I haven't done much away day travelling but do have some strong memories of my first match at the Lane - Klinsman era against Sheff Weds.
What I recall vividly was the click clack of the turnstiles, the buzz of first catching a glimpse of the pitch as we clambered up the stairway in the corner of the north stand (pretty sure it was the Paxton as me and my mate were junior members). Was the time when there was that wide gangway before it got a refurb with the almost vertical steps!
The green of the pristine pitch seemed unreal and radiated an energy to complement the murmour of the crowd. I was gawping up and around with a stupid grin on my face. Tingles.
Will have to see if I can dig out the match day programme.
Anyway, thought it might be nice to reminisce. Again, apologies if it's been done...

The joy of seeing a football stadium for the first time
You wake up, realise it’s Saturday and smile. After a train trip, a pub stop and a walk through unfamiliar streets, you turn a corner and it’s there
