No another left wing back is yet another signing. We can't make that many signings in 1 window so let's not make signings for the sake of it. We still could do with a left centre back, central centre back, right wing back central midfielder and centre forward. If Bergwijn leaves and Gil is loaned out again then we need an attacking midfielder (Eriksen?.) In addition to Forster and Perisic that's already up to 8 signings. Too many signings will need to get on the same page and learn the Conte system , I think 7 outfield signings is about the limit. If we can get Bastoni and Eriksen at least they along with Perisic have worked together under Conte and a lot of our current group have played with Eriksen. That helps keeps the harmony while still strengthening in numbers.

As much as I am greedy and want another wb, we have other more important priorities now.

Bastoni obviously most important.

With the 5 sub rule and us in the CL, i think 3 WB for each side could be a perfect amount, especially if the WBs can play in other positions as well. An injury wont be a complete disaster, and Conte can sub in fresh legs for WB at his leisure each game.
Possibly but not sure morale would be great for some of them if we have 3 for each position. Also no way we are signing Kostic and Perisic

Yeah, Kostic and Perisic on top of what we have is overkill and you rightly state could be bad for morale.

I think Perisic is absolutely the right choice.

Kostic would have been a good signing and effective but I think Perisic offers more as he can dribble (go inside/outside) and he's very deadly in front of goal.

Kostic is more about his crossing and set pieces but Perisic is an excellent crosser anyway, so the dribbling aspect gives us more dynamic.

I’ll be honest I wasn’t overly impressed with Kostic when I saw him against West Ham but it’s a small sample size and I’m sure he is a good player.

Perisic for me is the far better player.

Perisic imo is not the ‘far better’ player, he is the ‘better’ player sure and I’d rather we got Perisic but Kostic is still an absolute baller.

I would have loved Kostic but I think a big plus with Perisic is the impact of mentality on the squad he brings too. I think Conte of course wants quality but he also wants that mental side of the group of players to be improved upon and Perisic will go a long way in helping to achieve this.

I think when we have looked good in recent years we've looked like a set of talented players but I just have a feeling that next season we'll look and feel like more of an elite side as opposed to one that is maybe looked at as really overachieving.

With Peresic and Sess we have plenty at lb and reguilon still there as well, though suspect he will be moved on. Probably means other areas to be prioritized over a Kostic signing

Kostic is a fantastic crosser of the ball. I would've liked him, but agree that Perisic is the better all round player.

I’m not sure. I think kostic, perisic, sess and son would be a good group to cover the left wing and wingback positions. the first three could cover the wb position and all four could cover the wide forward role. It would allow reg and bergy to leave without any further replacements needed. In fact I think that would be a frightening proposition.

The belief in Frankfurt is that Kostic HASNT played his last game for them.

Update #Eintracht : Kostic is allowed to leave if a club bids 15m+ (as reported). Currently no offer on the table. Ache should be awarded. Durm is to be sold. Everything is prepared for Polter, but Schindzielorz was unable to sign in the end. @SkySportDE

15M+ seems a snip for a player of his quality

If we sell reguillon I’d love for us to get Kostic as well. Replacing reguillon with kostic and perisic whilst still making a profit and keeping our lb with the most potential would be incredible business.

And killing Sessegnon's great development with one stroke.

Can Perisic play RWB? or is he solely LWB? That way you can potentially bring in Kostic and get rid of One of Emerson/Doherty.

Sess/Kostic
Perisic/Doherty or Emerson

Bloody hell, people, stop asking if Perisic can play RWB, it’s been discussed 1000 times

I've noticed that the users on here have a strange obsession with trying to shoehorn players into positions they don't normally play.

Perisic just had the two best seasons of his career playing as a left-wing back. He knows the position, he's excelled in the position, and he's probably the best in the world in that specific role.

Let's sign him and not play him there
