Not Spurs but this commercial revenue for City is so clearly absolute fucking horseshit and it seems like this non-FFP will do absolutely nothing to stop financial doping like this.

That's very interesting. Confirms previousc articles that THFC are very well set in terms of cost controls. Whereas majority of UK big clubs and Italian teams (particularly
Inter) will need to reign in costs.

Can someone please explain to me how all these clubs are spending so much money, its like for Utd and Chelsea FFP doesnt exist. West ham, Arsenal, Newcastle all huge spenders. We seem to be the only club that takes it seriously

It's all about that 3 year period. Chelsea can sign Messi for 1 billion and then sell everyone else in 2025 to make up for it and it will be within FFP.

Newcastle are in no danger because the previous owner was very tight with money.

Arsenal are running it close.

Chelsea normally do a good job of selling players but the new seems oblivious to that.

Everyone is sticking to it mate. It's just the case that a few club's gambling hard this Summer with what they'll be able to do in the future. Not really a surprise with the format this season, but a gamble non the less.

Chelsea have more room because of their recent transfer ban.

So if say Arsenal or Chelsea missed out on top 4 theyd be in trouble Trix, same for Newcastle? Just the money being spent has me thinking how is that sustainable. Openly admit I havent a clue how FFP works

I don't think it's a surprise that so many clubs are spending big this Summer. The introduction of 5 subs and the mid season World cup has meant big deep squads are a must. How they'll deal with it next season if they don't hit their revenues is anyone's guess right now.

I think a lot of clubs are maxing out. This will be it for them. I mean Chelsea and United had no choice. Chelsea will always be ok they can sell their kids at £20/25m a go. I think this is a roll of dice for likes of Forest West Ham even Arsenal. Although I have said it’s almost like they know some kind of bonanza is on the horizon. What that maybe who knows.

I mean yes and no. PL clubs are very strong and can spend obscene amounts in a window and it isn't some crazy gamble.

United can legitimately spend obscene amounts every season as they generate a hell of a lot of revenue. I think their spending isn't sustainable but they can easily cover a season like this no problem.

Chelsea are fine because they haven't actually been overspending for a long time now, and the transfer ban helps.

Nottingham forest are risking, gambling that they will stay up. Seems pretty stupid. But the amount of money the PL gives means even smaller clubs can spend big.

West Ham are fine probably as a one season thing. Arsenal are probably fine too but there is a bit of a ticking financial time bomb happening there.

Apparently PL are to follow Uefa and bring in new FFP rules. So maybe that’s what this window is about. Big spend before new rules.
