Seriously, what a player this guy is, pace, power and absolutely phenomenal finishing skills.

I was really pleased when he came to England and the premiership. I've watched him for ages now from his days at Atletico through to the present day. He's always looked brilliant but it was quite clear that he had done all he could in Madrid and needed a move to revitalise and freshen him.

What was a suprise is I remember when we were quite heavily linked to going for him for the last few summers before Liverpool swooped. The reaction that the rumours were met with astounded me, lots of people saying he wouldn't make it, that he would come to England and flop and that he wouldn't be able to hit a decent ratio of goals. Of course I think a lot of people judged him on the price tag that was paid. However I really do now think that he will become a recognised by all world class player, and easily one of the most deadly players in the EPL.

It's a shame that Liverpool got him, especially if Berba is offski in the summer, maybe he could have been ours , ah well, not to be!. Still, theres always David Villa eh?.

Obviously he has his 'difficult' second season to come yet, but where would everyone put him in the lists of top strikers in the league, and the world?.

In the league, no.1 striker at the moment.

In the world, maybe 5th or 6th.

I made a bet at the start of the season that Berbs would score more league goals than him.

I hate you, Fernando.

Drogba is a better striker than Torres and Rooney is a better footballer than Torres.

The Spanish kid didn't do too well this season when he came up against the best defender in world football.

he's absolute quality. still think he needs to score more away from home but that'll probably come next year.

Great little player and it's good to have him in the prem. Definitely up there in the top 10 strikers in Europe. In a couple of years who knows he could be top 3.

Probably the top striker in the league right now. People talking of him being right up there with Ronaldo as best player in the world are pushing it a little.

He actually didn't have a good game last night (or when they played us at Anfield when I thought he was shit, but in retrospect he was most likely not fully fit), did very little other than the great strike, which was a fantastic hit, but he was given a hell of a lot of space. He is a better goalscorer than Berba and his pace is frightening, not sure he is a better player. It's very difficult to tell as Liverpool play almost everything to him, in a similar way to Charlton did with Bent. Not sure he would be as effective if he played regularly with Crouch and Liverpool started playing more of the balls into Crouch. I might be wrong.

Class act, easily one of the most exciting players in the premiership. I hadn't seen loads of him before he arrived, but I must admit I didn't expect him to take to English footy quite as well as he has. Fook is he quick!

And I shudder to think that had we been successful with our 10 million bid for Kuyt, we would not have bought Berbatov.

I actually thought that last night, I was watching the game and everytime I saw Kuyt, I thought thank god we chose Berbatov.

Torres has the POTENTIAL to be the best Liverpool striker EVER. Obvously that all depends on how long he stays with them but at 24 years old he has his best years infront of him.

He was good in Spain but is proving even better over here. Number 1 forward in th Prem at the mo without doubt.

Quality qualty player :clap::clap:

Not convinced Drogba is better really. He does have constant supply and rarely has to beat a man, he just kinda puts it in the net. Torres beats people for fun and scores a shitload.

You have a deft way with words

Home or away, key matches and finals, Drogba has proven his worth.

Interesting that Gerrard said recently that Goldilocks is actually better suited to the EPL than La Liga. The exception that proves the rule?
