Hunter: Tottenham and Liverpool are 'queuing up' to sign Llorente

5 mins and 15 seconds in he says that basically Dortmund, Juve, Tottenham and Liverpool are queuing up for him and that Llorente has turned a huge money offer down by athletic so that he can progress his career, he wants a team that will hunt for trophies and a project that will progress his career. Hunter says not having Champions League is not a issue as long as he can progress his career and doesn't expect him to go in the jan window.

Dortmund would attract me, if old Lewandowski fucks off as expected, if I was in his position.

Depends how serious Llorente is about progressing his career. Pool will offer more money, imo.

I think he will end up at Juve. Chances are he will put off making a decision until the season is over. CL qualification would be a prerequisite I would have thought, meaning Liverpool and potentially us would be out of the running.

Dortmund are probably the most exciting team in Europe right now. Llorente would be an upgrade on Lewandowski too in my opinion.

They've taken his picture of the Bilbao website. Bielsa says he won't be sold this window but I think Bilbao will want money for him.
Sadly Juve does seem most likely.

If DL reads this post, know this, I'll pay £50 towards his transfer fee (I'd pay more in June but broke after xmas shopping)

Llorente is awesome and all...

But I really think we would be doing ourselves a disservice if Bilbao are in sell-mode since they are terrible and we didn't go after Oscar De Marcos. I'd mention Iker Muniain as well, but he's got way too much value for them to sell, or for us to afford him.

I think it'll be very interesting how this works out in the long run.

Say we do purchase him for around 7-8m in January. Obviously the guy's worth more than that, but the situation may force him out for cheap.

He's a perfect fit as the CF in the 4-3-3 and Bale and Lennon can finally just sling in crosses and more often than not Llorente will dominate in the air and find the ball.

If he puts together a couple of good seasons in the PL, we could find ourselves in a situation similar to what Arsenal had with Van Persie. He could be 29 years old, PL proven, and he could realistically be sold for 20m+.

That sounds like a Levy plan to me. And I really have no doubts that Llorente would succeed in the PL.

Wages? I mean... he can get whatever he wants elsewhere if he just waits until the end of the season.

It's a tall order for Levy to flog a 29 year-old for 20m+.

Better still, keep him until he is no longer fit for the top level, getting 7/8 years out of him banging in 20+ goals a season.

Levy don't seem to think like that though!

Big question mark over which team that is though.
Rumours say Man City or Man Utd and Chelsea isn't out of the equation, but neither team really needs a new striker other than maybe Chelsea.

This has more legs than that ridiculous Sneijder rumour though!

P.s. not a swipe at Noodles by the way, not knocking the ITK, just think there is 0 chance.
