Strong fucking team

Matic Fabregas
Willian Oscar Hazard
Costa
(n)
Not a mourinho team though is it.

Fabregas at Arsenal got away with a bit by not tracking back at Arsenal and at chelsea I see him replacing Oscar more than in the deeper position

Wenger probably wants to spend the money elsewhere and is showing faith in Ramsey and Wiltshire

Strange as it may sound, Arsenal don't really need Fabregas. I mean, he'd be a good addition for them, he could add something to any side, but Wenger's not exactly the type to spend £27m on a player he doesn't need. As @beats1 pointed out, he doesn't track back much, and if they're going to sign another midfielder it would be a more defensive type rather than another creator

Last season Arsenal lost Ramsey and de railed their title push, that is why they need player like him to build a squad capable of challenging. Their fans must be sick!! Chelsea lol, it would have been the equivalent of bale going there!

Silly silly mistake for Arsene to make. For a player of his quality, with his connection to the club, for that money it was impossible to say no. Or should have been.

Ozil hasn't settled properly yet, Ramsey hasn't proven his ability over more than one season and is prone to injury, and Wilshere has flattered to deceive for years.

Obvious mistake not signing him.

Gonna have to disagree mate. If you look at their midfield numbers, I don't think they need him. Don't get me wrong, I think they do need another midfielder, but they need a more defensive minded player imo

Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Özil, Podolski, Gnary, Rosicky, Wilshere, Ramsey, Arteta, Flamini, Diaby, Cazorla, Coquelin.

I just don't see them needing another fancy pancy lightweight creator. They shoulda gone big for Luiz Gustavo imo, perfect signing for them, though I'm glad they didn't!

The things is Fabregas is a cut above every name on that list so while they might not have needed him as such he would have upgraded them and by not signing him they've also let his signing strengthen a direct rival

I suppose it depends on their budget - but for my 2p worth they should have bought him and sold whoever if they needed to recoup some before spending again (Cesc in Wiltshire out would have been a big upgrade)

But Fabregas is better than all of those players (bar maybe Ozil and Ramsey if he keeps improving).

The best teams have the best players, not a load of good ones. Fabregas is one of the best and his signing will further elevate Chelsea above Arsenal.

Is he really that much better than Ozil, their time in spain suggest otherwise

Some people were saying the same things last season about going for Ozil and not strengthening their target areas, yet the minute they pass up Fabregas everyone is like they should have brought him to strengthen their midfield.

Arsenal don't really need Fabregas, seeing as they've got the RB and CF positions to take care of, why spend the money (including high wages) on a player you don't need, the only reason they'd want him is to keep him out the clutches of anyone else. If he wasn't available no-one would be saying Arsenal need Fabregas.

They'd be better of spending the money on a new medical team, their injury record is a bad as ours.
