Conte is not expected to be given fortunes to spend and Tottenham may need to raise cash through sales to chase some of his targets.

Yeah, we'll see. Conte will not tolerate wheeler-dealing and penny pinching. I doubt he'd have signed if that were the case.

Even though I would’ve preferred Potter it’s hard not to get excited by what Conte could potentially do with our squad.

I’ve never really fully bought into the whole massive rebuild thing and think we have a lot of players playing well below their potential. Conte seems to have a good record of getting the best out of players while at the same time not taking any shit from bad apples. Exciting times ahead.

I was dreading taking my 6 year old son to his first match against Norwich in December...was worried how toxic the atmosphere would be.

Im buzzing now.

We have a manager who is world class to match our world class stadium... Now we need the revenue from boxing, NFL and concerts to be given to Antonio... The stadium could finance our rebuild if done properly. COYS.

So who are the big winners and losers among the players with this appointment?

I can see the likes of Reguilon, Sessegnon, Emerson, and maybe even Doherty being the big winners.

Oh dear, sorry to say lads, i think Contes broken...

“But the contagious enthusiasm and determination of Daniel Levy in wanting to entrust me with this task had already hit the mark. Now that the opportunity has returned, I have chosen to take it with great conviction.”

Conte a BSoDL????

People seem to think that Dele will be bricking it, when his work rate and commitment isn't in doubt. Confidence and settling on a role has been. Between the 2 I fear more for NDombele who thought that Poch's sessions were a bit too hard.

I think Dele *could* shine again when coached properly.
I wanted to ask but hate the abuse Dele gets.

But would Dele be an option as a second striker in a 352? Should sonny be worried.

I'd say only two fo the four.

Not at all. Conte wants fast, dovetailed inter play from his two CFs. Dele is more suite to one of the box-to-box CM roles (if he can keep things simple).

I think he'd be an option in CM as the further forward, linking from PEH/Skipp behind, with GLC/NDom/Gil alongside, with Kane between the lines and Son being the tip of the spear. Lucas is probably more suited to being a backup for Son for now.

Plenty of opportunity for him. Of course he needs to want it enough and show it too.

I agree. I love Dele and his regression has been really sad to watch. We know he has the fitness levels to compete, just need someone to actually coach him properly again.

If we fail now then we must do a mass clear out in the summer. No doubt a number of changes will be made anyway. I guarantee Kane will be motivated now and suddenly return to form. The ones holding us back will be killed by Conte. It's all about giving Paratici control of the football side and ENIC providing the funds now. Highest ticket prices need top football to match.

Im assuming more videos will come out during the day. Will there be an official press conference or do we think we will just wait until tomorrow for pre game one and do the two in one?

I think going back to the summer we had the statement about what type of football we should be expecting from our new manager, I think it's fair to say that Conte isn't 1:1 with that however, I don't think any fan will hold that statement at the throat of the board when you bring in a manager of the calibre of Conte. It's one thing to go against what you said with one of the best managers in the world compared to bringing in the likes of Nuno. Fans will more than accept this "compromise" if you could even call it that.

I love watching Conte teams personally even if it's it not that high possession game, I love watching his teams meticulous systems they worked tirelessly on along with the sheer effort and desire the players in his teams have to show. I don't particularly see him as a defensive coach, even if he's not in the pep mould or the mould it was suggested we were looking but it's still going to be an absolute joy to watch.

Am still amazed as I thought we weren't allowed nice things.

I'm not expecting him to be given fortunes to spend and suspect we will still sell to buy but him and Paratici working together on spending that money wisely is pretty exciting.

Listen, Arsenal/Chelsea fans might not thank me but get the contract out, put it on the table. Let him sign it, let him write whatever numbers he wants to put on there, given what he's done since he's come in. Conte's at the wheel, man. He's doing it. He's doing his thing. Tottenham are BACK.
