The medical department has been a shambles for years. Perhaps no need to call it out publicly, but hopefully there will be work done to revamp it.

I agree, he is right. I'm 100% behind him in him being able to turn us around both on and off the pitch

I'd just rather see tweets and headlines about our on-pitch performance than more quotes that could come across (and be used by those with an 'agenda' in the press circle) to be another negative.

Maybe it doesn't need airing, but by doing so he's holding the club accountable rather than it just being left. If people within the club don't like it, they're part of the problem.

It didn't need airing , it needs fixing. Lets hope he fixes it

The guy is answering questions he's asked. ?‍♂️

First there's people saying the fans deserve to know what's going on because they pay the highest prices end universe has ever seen. But then those same people are saying things don't need to be aired in public.

Read the full press conference, hes saying Medical departments "in England" have it to easy not our Doctors. Bit of a mischievous tweet from Ally there.
Of which he has worked with 2, not 30 odd. Of course he is talking about our doctors.

Like most of us he's fed up having to watch Winks flounce around the field and hiding behind opposition players. I feel his frustration not being able to get Skipp on the pitch as our midfield is weaker without him.

People only want to know whats going on behind the scenes when the performances are poor. Fixing the medical situation is fine , stating publicly it is shot isn't necessary. I will admit I reacted to the tweet rather than the interview though.

"it is a pity i think in England that sometimes you should have a conference with the medical department. The doctors, it is too easy for the doctors to work here, because they don’t speak, they don’t explain what happens, you understand?

Sometimes I think that could be good, one day, if in two weeks, to have a good press conference with the medical department to explain about the situation of the players, about the situation that they are trying to take care of their players. It is too easy for the medical department in England, I think so."

All I can say is he can't rate Harvey White or Alfie Devine at all. But perhaps it's the case that he doesn't want to throw youngsters into a dysfunctional team.

But I have to say his desperation regarding Skipp does make me think he thinks Winks is awful in spite of his improved attitude (according to Conte at least)

I know he says in England.
But he only has 2 reference points in England, Chelsea and Tottenham, and is obviously therefore referring to ours specifically, and probably to a lesser extent Chelsea, and comparing us to his experiences in Italy.

Unless you somehow think he has spent time between managerial appointments visiting and observing the medical departments of lots of English clubs, in which case your point may have a small smidgeon of validity about it

Oh come on. Yes, he's referring to our medical department. And so?

The last thing we need is a yes man who is taking care of all our public images instead of rightfully calling things out and fixing them, which by all accounts, these groups have had a far too fucking easy ride within the club for years. From scouting department to the medical department. We as fans already have been saying that many seasons ago and now when finally we have someone who are more than honest speaking about them, and possibly fixing them, has again become part of a moaning for some.

Let's be frank about it. These people wouldn't be criticised if they are that good. They need to earn their dough. Unless you are telling me the scouts and medical professionals are working in our club as volunteers? Ffs.

Conte has mentioned umpteen times there are many aspects in the club that shouldn't possibly accept things as they are. That has become to what we are now, and still accepting that as it is - and look where we now? Sometimes, best of the rest, but never the top.

We should be OK with Bentancur back

Spurs Community - "Loved Poch but wished he didn't speak in riddles all the time".

"Spurs Community - "Fucking Levy only hired Nuno because he's a yes man"

Spurs Community - "fucking wish we'd got Conte in the summer, he'd take no shit & would kick Levys ass into touch. He's exactly what this club needs".

Spurs Community - "Wish Conte wouldn't keep saying negative things in public. It's not going to do us any favours".

You lot make me look practically sane. If that doesn't tell you something, there's no hope for you.

Sorry but this is nonsense. We cover more ground than anybody and create a lot more than we did under Nuno. The players are trying but they lack the quality to win games. The bigger issue with Spurs at this moment in time is the ticket prices. Until we go and sign top quality players I can absolutely understand why people don't want to go. It feels like the cost of a ticket is to go to the stadium rather than to watch a top team. The ticket prices don't reflect where we are as a club. If we back Conte in the summer and get the quality to match the work rate we will be worth the cost.
Bollocks. We may do that some games but the problem is its every other game at best. And we're better under a world class coach than Nuno? And?
We went 45mins against a Championship team without having 1 shot mate. Thats a fact. And its not the first time either.

What a load of crap.
So if we were paying £20 a ticket happy days?
What utter nonsense x

We'll need Skipp back by Brighton away though or we're in big trouble again. Thankfully, some decent breaks before our next two so hopefully we can play PEH and Bentancur twice in a row without any issues.

Should be ok against Brighton as they'll leave space in behind.
Its the Burnleys and Middlesboroughs of this world we struggle against.
Brighton, Leeds, Man City, Liverpool all come at us.

Is football so short-termist now that we can’t just say, “Let’s write off this season, and start preparing for the next one?” I remember this happening all the time in the 90s and 00s.
There’s a massive stadium we are trying to sell out every week though. We start admitting to writing off a season who is going to watch with the prices they are asking for?
