I'm still Conte in.
Why? Is it because of the shit brand of football? Or the strange subs or line ups? Or his stubbornness? No.
It's because he represents for me the last chance saloon. If we can't get our house in order with this guy we never will.
But here we are, demanding Levy sacks Conte, and all the while most of us know what the real problem is.
Some here have even gone personal, accusing Conte of disrespect.
He is a decent man. All he has done is tell everyone some home truths. But for some reason people overlook that and let the real culprit off the hook again.
Yes... but the big problem is. Conte has lost the vast majority of the fans and some players. No way back IMO...

It's not a Levy vs Conte contest anymore.

I was Conte in, but it seems to me be doesn’t want to be here anymore. Why would he bring on sanchez when we are chasing a goal? Why is he not playing Danjuma? Players are speaking out. I think it’s done and the inevitable is just being delayed now.

His position seems untenable at this point, delaying the inevitable when I think a clean break now would be best for all parties

Well hopefully we're putting out the feelers to see what options we have. If someone like Enrique is actually keen for the job and he's the man we want then maybe we pull the trigger now, but if not then maybe best to wait until the summer and assess our options. Like, there's no way we can get De Zerbi until the summer at the earliest if he's the one we want.

Even if it's a miserable watch for fans, I'm not absolutely convinced replacing Conte with Ryan Mason for 12 games at the cost of 5 million quid or whatever is really going to give us a better chance at top-4. The football would be more positive and we'd have more fun, but I'm not sure it would actually improve our points tally at the end of the season (unless the players are completely done with Conte after last night).

Enrique/Tuchel etc will show we haven’t learnt. I think it will be a lesser named manager. If it isn’t Poch of course, which by the day I’m becoming less and less convinced it will be. But who knows. Doubt even Levy does right now.

The fans are already thinking of Tottenham without Conte.... so what's the point ?
Yep it’s over now so we need to be sounding out the right man to replace Conte and get them in as soon as possible.

There are actually a lot of managers I’d be fairly excited by:
-Poch
-De Zerbi
-Gallardo
-L.Enriquue
-Tuchel (at a push)

Can we just have our Tottenham back after the torturous last 3 years please? 🙏

Kinda feel sorry for the guy;

- Levy was never going to back him to the level he needs / wants
- he only has one system that - to be fair - has brought him success in the past,
- he’s has had to deal with dross in the squad like sanchez (who should have gone years ago),
- he has suffered from major personal issues
- he has encountered injuries to key players (Benta) who are crucial to the team performance…
- he is passionate and has always spoke his mind. Perhaps too honestly sometimes
- and lastly… he is a defensive minded coach who has mostly played a back 5, so he was already on the back-foot with the fans - esp given Levy’s foolish DNA quotes…

thanks for the 4th finish last season AC but let’s just do the obvious thing and both parties shake hands and move on gracefully before this gets nasty …

Being Conte out and also blaming Levy as the man most responsible for our troubles are not mutually exclusive positions to hold.

Conte has taken a squad with several talented forward-thinking players (except missing a genuine number 10) and made it the most dour, boring, meek and insipid side I can remember. Every forward player, including Kane, is either not playing or way off their best form and that cannot be a coincidence. If we are unsuccessful, at least I want to be entertained. What Conte is giving us now is the worst of all worlds.

If I was a manager with genuine ambition, I wouldn't touch the Spurs job with a bargepole!

Mourinho and Conte. Arguably, part of the top 5 coaches in world football over the last decade and Levy destroyed both of their reputations. Its tragic.

Us fans are stuck with Levy/ENIC but a manager with real ambition can avoid us and I wouldn't be surprised if they did. We're not a football club anymore, it's becoming a bit of a circus.

Swap out Tuchel for Big Ange, and this is also my list. Also remove the other four so it's just Big Ange. Need an Aussie at the helm of the club.

Keeping things on topic: Conte time almost up etc etc

Name me a manager in the ENIC era that jas left Spurs and gone on to win and succeed. Nobody. Reputations are destroyed by our football club. Tottenham Hotspur are becoming a poisoned chalice to managers/coaches.

I really don't understand the thinking here of why he's still in the job.
  • Players speaking out about disliking tactics
  • Horrible Form
  • He clearly isn't staying
  • Players possibly wanting Poch back
How on Earth is he going to right the ship for the rest of the season?

It’s not. But we have confirmed the go-karting so all is well in Levy Land.

Agreed, last night and this morning had all the hallmarks of a sacking incoming. I cannot understand how he carries on from here, the players are not playing for him anymore, you just have to read the quotes from Richy to understand that.

Btw, I have lost all my respect for Antonio Conte as a man and person. He’s scum to me.
Is there some competition I don't know about where posters have to see who can post the most vitriolic over the top bollocks they can muster?

I know there is always a post or two in the heat of the moment that manage to cut close to the line but this is like the 4-5th time I've read something like this in the last 24 hours and it's totally uncalled for and way too far over the line.

Get a fucking grip man!

I suppose they want to get someone else fully on board before they announce his departure. More like the Poch-Jose handover and less like the Jose-Mason-Nobody-Nuno-Conte transition.

Could happen quickly once they have the yes from their target.
