The words don't matter. Any club who says they are 'sorry' are lying. They are all just variations of "Shit, that Super League was going to be lit. Now we're going to have to slum it with Burnley again. Fuck. Fuuuuuuuuuuuck."
It's almost they all had a statement to pick. We'll take anxiety, we'll say sorry, we'll say fuck you bastards, we'll say calm down, calm down.

Are the rumors UEFA offered compensation to the English clubs true, and if so I'm curious to see how much

Makes to much senses, can’t be true

This makes no sense whatsoever. The owners, senior execs and boards are the clubs for these purposes. How exactly do they propose to sanction individuals personally?!

Doesn't make any sense at all. These companies did it. They're the legal entity. Leaders lead. It's like saying Shell shouldn't get fined because the CEO was at fault for an oil spill or bribing local officials.

It does seem that they can't. I mean it was clear Mason was briefed not to say anything either. Besides they had the Jose news to deal with as well. I don't think they really had much choice but to keep quiet.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were told to stay silent by the club, but I also don't want to make excuses for them. Anyway, I guess it doesn't matter now.

You said it's the majority view so why don't you go and count it and tally up the results instead of making an assertion and telling everyone else to go and find evidence for it.

There's a poll in another thread if you want to have a look.

Relax yourself, he's just remarking on how the vibe is totally different

Glad we’re out. The fans need to keep the momentum and bring about further sweeping changes, there’s plenty that needs fixing; agents, UEFA, FIFA, VAR, corrupt owners, Broadcasters (Sky), Qatar World Cup.

Wonder if this means Reguilon will return to Madrid as retribution ?

That's most likely just the Madrid press throwing a wobbler.
See above - links quite strongly to reports from France earlier about UEFA talks with an English company over changing the media distribution model to increase funding for the Champions League. It's also categorically not the Madrid press - that paper is Catalan and hates Real - although there certainly could be an unholy alliance going on.

always liked Levy but he couldnt have fucked up more if he tried. and this is next level cock-up x 10. the only saving grace is all the other big clubs look just as bad.

Maybe this is where the difference is. I don’t support my club in hope of future unrealistic final glory.I support my club out of pure love. It’s like father son relationship.I want him to do good , I’ll do whatever necessary to help, I will celebrate successes and will live through pain of failures. I have no hope that my son will become best son in world recognised by all.
You remeber that beautiful and brave Ajax team that we beat in semifinal? Gone rip apart , taken away from their fans after 2 season, no time to build identity, we will never have chance for rematch. Ajax supporting kids will never have chance to build identity around their idols turning into legends.
I think that competition is not about winning or being the best, in same way that beauty of football is not about goals,
Sorry if I end up overly sentimental
It's not about winning. But, I think hope is a very important part of it. Football is fundamentally an irrational thing. The Ajax thing is actually a perfect example of how that pyramid structure can work so well, the memories and the feelings of going toe to toe with the best and almost winning the whole thing is a beautiful aspect of the game, when that hope and those dreams which seem unrealistic actually almost turn out to be true. The super league would have killed that from ever happening again.

"english investment fund"? I wonder if that could possibly be a slight mistranslation to French. Imagine it started off as, say, "English National Investment Company". Ring any bells?
