This is turning into a huge game of chicken! If we aren't careful, this could backfire hugely!

I'm absolutely opposed to it and am starting to get concerned about the consequences should it all fall through.

Ultimately, you can't have a competition where some of the members can't get relegated! It's just wrong.

But, I'd rather be on the inside pissing out.......

Levy blinking first and Spurs getting cold feet? (Talksport) He should make the call quick and try to come out of it with some credit.
He can fuck off. Any credit would be minimal, he's shown his true colours now, if people still don't see him for what he is then blood really is thicker than water.

I've massively supported him for years but i'm done with him now

He can pull out and then get out

Yes that is true but can every country be relied upon in a World Cup not to call up players who have participated in ESL if FIFA ask them to ignore such players . E.g if Egypt are in Qatar would they ignore Salah.

No, probably not, you're right. Would only be assured to work from the effected countries.

I still don't see how these clubs can legally force Fifa to allow their players in though. If the Super League can do what it wants then so can Fifa.

Not that I think this is really the main route to counter this at all.

Players refusal is the only way this stops unfortunately

It's why I can't support us atm. I wish I could get behind a fantastic story of Ryan Mason coming back from a career ending injury and managing Spurs in a cup final but how can I while we go ahead with this? If your players and manager you're either with the fans or the owners.

Not looking forward to watching us in the bottom of the table with nothing to play for every year,
No decent players will want to play for a team that can never have a chance of winning the competition, Kane's chance of ever getting a medal would be gone by staying with us,
Hopefully this ESL plan fails

I personally can't wait for a return to the halcyon days of the mid to late 90's.

Sky saying the PL 14 are happy for us to stay If this thing goes tits up, but a number of chairmen/owners would not be welcome back.

Money talks but I do actually think this is possible. Football players want money but they also want to be heroes lets face it. A lot of these are working class kids. At the moment they have it all. They get to be millionaires and peoples champions. If it's made clear enough that people don't want this mercenary filth I think a good percentage will back down and settle for their measly £100k a week plus a bit of glory.

Probably being naive but let's see.

I think all the players and staff should be doing right now is focusing on Soton and especially the final. Winning the final might end up being the last piece of true joy we ever experience as Spurs fans.

When that's over I hope then the players take a stand and side with the supporters over our abhorrent board.

All these allegedly tough as nails owners hiding behind Perez, hiding in the dark keeping quiet thinking that it'll all blow over as legally they think they're airtight.

Ethics, morals, tradition, history and culture don't even come into it. Unlike A&C I have actually stood up for Levy but he can fuck off to the bahamas with his dusty wallet as far as I'm concerned. This is much bigger than just 6 clubs wanting more money. It's a coup of our national sport.

Its in 3 cases American Money so USA will get involved if their business interests are threaten

No, they won't. This is of much greater importance to the British Government than it is to the US government. The Americans aren't going to risk potentially pissing off Johnson for something that's barely a blip on their radar.
