playing wise he plays with more direction and purpose than a lot of others we are linked with

Before the link to us I read earlier that he wasn't convinced about Chelsea as they would loan him to Strasbourg. So doesn't sound anywhere near ready

There's a Spurs youtuber I watch who rave's about him. Said he's massively outperformed his XG (13xg 24 goals, or something similar), so is lethal, has the flexibility of a gymnast, so can take shots others couldn't even reach, but is worried about his past, which if true, is very sketchy.
Any link?

Spurs talk show on YouTube Sean something.

While walking his dog he discusses transfer rumours and uses Wyscout to assess, but we're talking two minutes per player. He basically said exactly what I've stated but over numerous episodes, which is why it stuck in my mind, but nothing in depth.

Saying that the dude is very good and know's his football. I do like his demeanour.

If we do end up going with a young striker to compete with Richarlison rather than a guaranteed starter, then I would love if we went for Ernest Nuamah at Nordsjaellund Fc.

Must admit that I wasn’t aware of him before this summer, but I’m jumping on the bandwagon that’s been building this summer.

Having started watching back his games, he honestly could be one of the best 1v1 players I’ve ever seen.
And that’s not even hyperbole, he’s literally in the realms of Mbappe and Adama Traore imo.

To couple with that, he has an absolute cannon of a shot. It actually reminds me of Defoe a touch, where he can generate huge power with very little back lift of the foot, which catches keepers and defenders off guard.

He also, I believe, is a perfect signing for Ange's style of football as at striker he stretches the defence with constant aggressive runs behind the lines of the defence similar to what Richarlison has been doing.

But also with his absolute elite 1v1 ability, he would be perfect to play on the wings for Ange.

The only issue though, similar to Mbappe while at Monaco, is that I imagine every single top club in the world have been in contact with him already so competition for him would be massive with talks that he’s being lined up as PSG’s replacement for Mbappe already.

But our advantage here would be that, with Kane leaving, we’d be the only elite team that could offer him a first team place immediately.

People will laugh, but I’d be happier signing him over Kolo-Muani (and I rate Kolo-Muani highly).

edit: here’s a highlight video of him last season at 18 years old.

Clearly super impressive but highlights can be deceiving. But Nuamah actually looks more impressive,in my opinion, in full match highlights where it’s even more apparent how much of a constant threat he is.

I thought he was basically already signed by Chelsea so the links to him were a bit odd for me. However it was said by Monpellier's local paper so I thought maybe we could have swooped in.

Personally, with his alleged history I would probably steer clear. I know everyone is innocent until proven, but not the best PR coming into a club that's been on the wrong side of the PR narrative over the last year.

I did see the video mentioned above and watched some highlights and no doubt is a talented player - who has scored some amazing goals - and massively outperformed his xG

He looks so robust and explosive. Reckon he’d suit the PL down to the ground. Surprised we don’t look at the Nordic market more - plenty of good deals being had by a lot of clubs over the past few years.

Speaking to RMC Sport, Montpellier President Laurent Nicollin said that he believes that Elye Wahi (20) would be worth up to €60m if he played for either Olympique de Marseille or Olympique Lyonnais, whilst also confirming the existence of Chelsea’s opening offer and contact with Tottenham Hotspur.

Wahi is currently a priority target for Chelsea, however, as initially reported by L’Équipe, the Premier League side’s opening offer, thought to be worth €27.5m, was rejected by Les Héraults. Nicollin has confirmed the existence of an opening offer and added that he expects Chelsea to return with an improved bid.

For now, there isn’t anything new. There are offers, but we expect more offers for Wahi. It is true that we’ve had just one official offer up to now, from Chelsea, which came last Monday or Tuesday. We responded by saying thank you but said that it wasn’t an offer that suits us, so we’re waiting,” said Nicollin to RMC Sport.

Nicollin revealed that Tottenham Hotspur’s chief scout had made contact over the weekend, whilst Benfica, who are resigned to losing Gonçalo Ramos to Paris Saint-Germain, are also interested.

Wahi scored 19 goals in 33 Ligue 1 games last season, and given the France youth international’s age, Nicollin questioned the player’s low market valuation. Using the valuation of Bradley Barcola, for whom Lyon are reportedly demanding €50m, as well as Lesley Ugochukwu, who recently joined Chelsea from Stade Rennais for €27m, as references, Nicollin said, “We have a player that played three full seasons, who has scored more than 30 or 40 goals and who has enormous attacking potential, but we’re just Montpellier, we’re maybe not valued like Lyon or Rennes. You won’t take my head off if I say that if Elye Wahi was a centre-forward at Lyon or Marseille, he’d be worth €50-60m,” he said.

Nicollin said that a valuation has been set for Wahi, without revealing it, and said that if that valuation is met then he will let the player go. He added that no deadline has been set for the France U21 international’s departure.
