Bit of a sidenote, but very happy to see that Pau Torres signed for Aston Villa.

Thought he could have potentially been high on our list of LCB's again, but personally think he's going to flop badly in the prem so happy to see our new scouting system ruled him out.

Scouting systems aren't perfect... can't always account for unknown or the human factor
A scouting system is tailored towards a particular club/style/manager/existing players
Doesn't mean another player not right for us, won't be good for someone else.

Yeah I think it is. Also WLB said we’re in advanced negotiations for a CB but Laporte is still on the list. Which makes me think it must be VDV as we’re not gonna shell for Tapsoba AND Laporte.

Mbappe could be on the list doesn’t mean we’re going to sign him , think we’re all just guessing it’s been brilliant so far thinker just to need go with the flow and see who rocks up . Personally I’d like to sign this lad and vdv.2 and tosin at Fulham and give dier away in a Xmas cracker or similar and sell jaf , Sanchez and Ben for whatever peanuts we can get, ( I know wishful thinking ) but you never know the way we’re operating this window hopefully.

Why would you sell Dier if all you are going to do is buy Lenglet?

Because Lenglet is better than Dier and left footed so covers LCB in a 4atb.

We need to sign minimum 2 CB’s ideally 3.

We just end up in exactly the same situation as now though trying to shift on another player who doesn't quite fit the system, we have to look a bit further forward than this season, potential Europe and injuries, relying on Lenglet in a two and a high line, I'm just not convinced it's the correct long term decision.

Yea fair points. He’s not my first choice I’m just saying he’s better than Dier imo.

Ideally we got for 2-3 of Tapsoba, VDV and Tosin.

Many moons ago I actually emailed Asharvin's agent to see if he was coming. He was nice enough to reply with a no.
Anyone remember that dude who was sure he was coming? Proper legend of the site, but left after dude went to the scummers. Good Times.

Iv got a feeling we might get both. The fee touted for VDV wasn’t that high. Probably 5 more than Tosin is getting banded around at.

Tapsoba would be the high end centre back we have been told about. I’d personally rather him than Laporte now as he would suit the system perfectly.

If we can get shot of at least 3 from Dier, Sanchez, Davies and Tanganga, you'd think it's likely we'd look to get both in. Suppose we need something concrete to happen with outgoings as the club is probably vary of stockpiling CB's even more so with no Europe next season.
