Is 25 that low for a defender from a not that impressive German club? Never heard of him before we were linked 1 week ago and never heard anyone suggesting him last year either?
Genuine question as i do not know anything of the player except Youtube clips, which we all know makes Sanchez also look like an absolute superstar.

He's not going to go for 25mil. I'd be shocked anything under 35mil.

The important thing for me - is if this were to have legs I hope we strike quickly. Tah and Frimpong, two other Leverkusen defenders, have strongly been linked with moves away. Add in Diaby rumors as well.

I'm not sure how Leverkusen's finances are looking, but I feel if they get a big sale or two, it allows them to dig in deeper to hold on to other assets, esp. Tapsoba that still has a while left on his contract.

Pity, both would be ideal. And really revamp the back line.

To me (at least) it seems like it'd be 1 of Tapsoba, Van de Ven or foreign player on our list (maybe Lenglet 3rd option). Then 1 HG option potentially, links to Maguire and Tosin.

Sure, but don't think either player is going to come to Spurs to not be first choice. Attackers are a bit different as their should be more rotating than at CB.

Tapsoba and Tosin would be great in my opinion. Those 2, Vicario and Maddison would be a great way to strengthen what has become a very mediocre spine of the team

Tbf Romero usually only plays half a season with injuries and suspensions….

Add in solomun on a free who would cook under ange and I think it’s a perfect transfer window. Imo the best would be Laporte and Tapsoda but I’m sure tosin could be a good option.

If Lenglet was on the list of options we'd have signed him already, the fact we sent him back without even asking for a price makes me think he isn't on any list of ours.

Very important we get in quickly and make a big bid.

They clearly don’t want to lose him but if we make a very good offer before they have sold anyone else, we have a good chance of getting him imo, especially as he is keen on the move.

Yeah this looks like one of those we tried ones especially if Leverkusen are determined to keep him.
They’ll ask for silly money.

Hmm that doesn't sound great to me but yeah, think you're spot on.

We either move for him fast and big or Leverkusen will simply refuse to sell for anything less than silly money once other CBs leave. They've got a good upcoming manager in Alonso and I can't see him letting the club flog most of his defence from under him.
