If we signed Eze or Fati I’d assume we’d not sign Orban and Richy & Son would mainly cover at ST with Veliz next after that.By the sounds of it it would Orban as well and Veliz not even making the bench.

Doku’s stats are ridiculous. He would be statement signing for usCity also want Doku
Completely agree.Fati would be a crazy gamble imo but I’m sure he will be leaving Barca now. He’d also cost less then Eze for certain. I agree with you, you would think we would have all our ducks in a row ready to go, Levy might not want to spend big but he will know know someone will need to be brought in fast to appease fans. Re Eze, I still just don‘t see CP playing ball on a transfer but I’m sure CAA Base are pushing the idea hard.
I could live with that.Orban, Eze and a CB (Tapsoba,Schuurs,Silva).
I'd be very happy with that. Would round the squad off quite nicely for Ange.
He sounded pretty tentative when he mentioned Eze tbf, more like he was guessing based on old info. He also viewed him as a 10 rather then as winger. And he again mentioned Johnson. I think it was more of a reiteration of what he said the other day rather then anything new.Ally Gold has suggested Eze might be our statement signing.

We could certainly do worse. I’m still not entirely sure how he fits into the squad but if that’s who Ange wants then get it done.
The above is my full explanation that I made yesterday if you missed itI really don't think Son is going to be successful as a LW for Ange, and so from a squad-building perspective I think Eze could actually be a perfect signing.
So we bring in Eze primarily to play left wing (which I believe he is perfectly suited for, quite similar stylistically to Jota actually). On the LW we'd then have Eze, Solomon and Perisic, who are all perfect for the role, but also Son if needed.
But Eze would also be perfect cover for both of the '8' roles so this combined with Lo Celso's resurgence would save us from having to invest £50m+ on a player like Gallagher for the role and further bloat the squad.
Son then we convert to playing as a striker, which myself and many others think he is actually far more suited to than he is playing as a winger in Ange's system.
Son's main strengths now are his elite finishing off of either leg and his willingness to run in behind and stretch defence's. This is exactly what Ange want's from his strikers.
Unfortunately the day's of Son skinning players on the wings in 1v1's seems to be over, he is not good at receiving the ball to feet and is not great at working short interplays in triangles. These are all the most crucial traits of an Ange winger.
So by buying Eze and converting Son to striker, we save ourselves having to buy an elite striker and also a rotational '8'.
This then would leave us with plenty money to be able to buy Orban and loan him back out, buy an elite CB like Antonio Silva, and I would hope enough to buy a top RW to compete with Kulusevski.
I think it was telling in terms of the order he mentioned the players. Hopefully we do make a statement, and I wouldn’t be upset if it was Eze.He sounded pretty tentative when he mentioned Eze tbf, more like he was guessing based on old info. No he didn’t. He said the club like him and in his opinion he’d be the statement signing he’d make, two very different thingsAlly Gold has suggested Eze might be our statement signing.
Agree with most of what you quoted there. We need people who are technical dribblers for his system. Deki, and Solomon can do this. But Son is more a speed demon exploiting space kind of player. The above is my full explanation that I made yesterday if you missed it
If you had seen it and just disagree with it then fair enough though
Why are you doing that shit aggregators do when they twist stuff journalists say?Ally Gold has suggested Eze might be our statement signing.
I really can't see Eze happening. Great player but makes no sense on multiple levels for both Spurs and Palace. How on earth does he fit into our first 11 and why would Palace sell?Fati would be a crazy gamble imo but I’m sure he will be leaving Barca now. He’d also cost less then Eze for certain. Personally if we are looking for a LWF then we should get one who plays that as a primary position. Thats not Eze, whilst he can play there he’s naturally a 10/AMC. If we are looking for a 3rd AM then yes I think Eze would be an excellent fit if we are happy to pay. Personally tho I don’t see the point in splashing 70+ mil on a 3rd AM but fair enough if that’s what Ange wants. If we really want a 3rd AM then we would be better off ether getting a youngster with potential (or better yet giving Devine some real mins) and then putting more money on a reinforcement for the attacking front 3. I get that Eze is an exciting player and I get the want to bring in exciting players. I want The same, but for me that needs to be balanced with what we actually need. Really for me I’d say that’s ether a top quality CF or a RWF most but then potentially a LWF IF we are planning to give Son real mins at CF although if we are thinking of getting Orban as someone who can contribute straight away then maybe LWF isn’t as necessary. Also from listening to Ange on Peresic (and according to Gold Peresic really believes he can win so with Ange) and seeing how well he has been so far this pre season I really don’t think we should write him off.I’d like that a lot, really really exciting talented player, thought he was younger than 25 though.
He offers pace and creativity and trickery and real goal threat and could play LW or as an advanced n.o8, like it a lot, far prefer it to Fati.
Would leave us with a lovely array of options.
ST: Richy,Son,Veliz,Scarlett
LW: Eze, Perisic (Son when Richy up top)
RW: Kulu, Solomon
Add Gil to that once he’s fit again.
Then add in Maddison’s creativity and a few goals from Lo Celso,Skipp, Bentancur and Sarr and you’ve got a lot of different attacking threats + Udogie, Reguilon,Royal and Porro when they overlap.
Hodgson fairly coy on the rumours:
