It is why the shortlists of targets in various positions for Postecoglou contain the likes of Gift Orban, Brennan Johnson, Schuurs, Conor Gallagher and Spurs continue to monitor the situation with Eberechi Eze, another CAA Base client, particularly with Bryan Gil out of action after his groin surgery

Brilliant player who I would imagine would come with a price tag to match. Can't see Palace selling him for less than £60-70m, especially if they're potentially losing Olise as has been rumoured.

I must say that The Source account on twitter has been ahead on a lot of things this window. He mentioned our interest yesterday. Still, I just refuse to believe anyone with that twitter handle knows anything.

As for Eze, he obviously looks a quality player but for the price he would cost and with the resurgence of Lo Celso I just don’t see it.

Would be suicide for Palace to sell him now. With Zaha gone he's their new talisman and best hope of actually doing anything remotely decent this season.

Eze will be going for mega bucks surely?!

Still talk of Olise being targeted by Chelsea and City as well so if all 3 departed that would be pretty catastrophic for Palace.

Does seem a somewhat lazy link based on our “relationship” with CAA Base. Spending £70 odd mil on Eze wouldn’t make much sense at all to me tbh.

Sign Orban and loan him to Palace as a sweetener for Eze. Possibly Gil too.

Eze would be a beast for us and IMO could play both the advanced 8 role and wide roles for us. Both he and Olise look ready to explode.

Imagine this is one for a future window though, but the fact he's with Base surely puts us in a good position.

Can't see this happening at all:
- Price
- Not the weakest part of our squad
- Palace fans will go nuts
- We already have too many players

Is he due a contract renewal or something????

We don’t need him really but this is the only attacking player we’ve been linked with that would be of sufficient quality, the rest would be pissing the Kane money up the wall. We don’t need any more 8/10’s though and we have Son, Solomon and Perisic for LW where he can also play.

he is you know!

Olise will miss at least the first few months of the season, so he's not going anywhere.

Eze has 2 years left, so I imagine contract talks are in the air.

Can’t sign someone and loan them to a team in the same league unfortunately in the same window

With good fluid football i don't think a RWF is that important, and that intelligent reading and movement is much more important.
Taking City as an example they often play with 10's at L/RWF and all flit around looking for space.
And i have felt the football has been better when we haven't had a fixed position RWF in pre-season.

That doesn't mean there wont be occasion for one, just that it isn't that important in a passing and moving, attacking team.

As it is, i doubt Palace are interested in Selling him, especially if Olise is going.

Should be after Olise instead.

We have Lo Celso/Maddison for that advanced 8 position.
