JJ said this was BS in January, I wonder if anything has changed after Poch's interview where he praised van de Beek a lot.

He is a intelligent footballer but I don't think Poch is looking for his type of midfielder (someone who does push &run into spaces). I feel we will go after defensive midfielder (NDombele seems more likely profile player we will be after) & someone steady CM like Gomes. Ofcourse, I will be delighted if we land him

I don't think he'll move this summer. De Ligt, De Jong & Ziyech are all likely to be off. I think they'll want another year with Onana, Neres & Van De Beek.

Somewhat confusing player as I’m not really sure what his actual position is. Somewhat like Dele in that way and I think he’d end up in the same role.

That said he’s got a phenomenal engine on him so I think he’d do great things under Poch no matter where he plays on the pitch.

That sucks. With the engine on him I think he would be great under Poch.

Ajax would want far to much money for him plus I reckon Grealish would be a better option plus we has excellent CM coming through our own production line Amos Skipp hopefully Onomah fingers crossed

I don’t think they’d want an earth shattering amount for him, I just can’t see him leaving at all, Ajax will be selling 3/4 first team players so wouldn’t be surprised as he is from Ajax academy if he has agreed to another year with Ajax so there’s not a mass exodus all at once

I think that’s heavily optimistic with the CMs coming through the academy pipeline.

Not that high on Amos although I think he’ll be a good player down the leagues and I would not be at all surprised if Onomah is sold this summer.

It's also entirely possible Ajax don't need to sell him. De Jong is gone this summer for mega money. They can probably extract a pretty penny for Neres too if they want. Barca are trying to round up all their pennies to secure De Ligt with others hovering. Ziyech has a release clause that will entice many clubs. All told Ajax are looking at a possible ~200m coming in and the loss of at least 4 starters. So they can ask for whatever they want for the likes of De Beek because they're under no pressure to sell and may have to replace.

I reckon @dtxspurs got this right earlier in the week, Ajax will sell players but they aren't going to sell half their team in one window.

Couldn't really work out where he'd have fitted in with us. Seems closest in style to Dele it's not hard for us to play differently if he's missing.
