Does anyone still rate Walker?

Walker has always had spells after injuries where he has struggled to get back to his best, but he gets there and when at his best is frankly a quality RB. World Class? No, but frankly one of the best we have had in many a year.
When he isn't on song he is liable to a bit of a brain fart, but then show me a wingback who isn't.

Like someone said, yes he is one of the best RB's we've had, still doesnt take away from the fact that he's just not good enough on the ball for this system. Brainless and cant pass for shit, which is ok if all your job is is to give it to a winger, its not.

Walker is the starting player that annoys me most since he is back. Absolutely terrible only playing because of the past (and because we havent someone ready to replace him). I just hate watch him playing football. He has exactly 4 moves and one is worse than the other.

Truth is Walker hasn't improved much since his breakthrough season.

A bit better positionally, but still prone to brain farts and despite being very rapid he's still not very good going forward at all.

He had a terrible game. He's looked poor since he's come back from injury. He isn't a terrible footballer. He is unlikely to carry on being terrible forever. I imagine next season, when he's playing well again, all of the people in this thread who want him sold or burnt for glue will be strangely quiet just as they have been with Bale, Kane, Vertonghen, Bentaleb, Rose etc etc.

You cant go labeling people like that because we dont rate Walker....and yes he is a terrible footballer, always has been and the way modern fullbacks have evolved due to systems changing means he just isnt good enough.

Walker is like that kid who was picked in front of you for the school team just because he could run fast in a straight line even though your nickname was "Gazza" and not just because of your love of mars bars.

I still hope and think he will come good again after a proper rest and pre-season in the summer, much like Rose did last summer. But the rest of this season ... On current form I'd definitely rather play Chirches or even give Yedlin a chance.

He just doesn't have the intelligence to make it as a top player. Pace and strength only carries you so far. Out with a sweep of the big broom please.

Too long since his recovery and he's still terrible. Had a decent cup final and maybe one or two decent games but otherwise it's been awful

I'm of the opinion that Yedlin was brought primarily for commercial purposes but he can't be as bad as Walker, surely?
