We played him in the wrong position. He did not fit the system. Did not have the pace for a wide man. Had we played a system that needed a player "in the hole" then that would have been Bentleys best spot.
Three of the things he didn't like about professional football were "twitter, social media and money". Well, first two are easy: don't use them. As for the last, "money" has allowed you to retire at 29 years of age, after playing professionally for about 10-12 years. I'd love a career where, after a decade, I have enough to retire on; unfortunately, my current 15yrs will have to have another 35years added onto it before I can retire.
How ironic that one of the things he dislikes about football has put him in the position to be able to moan about it from the comfort of his very expensively purchased home.
that's the same harry redknapp that tried to take bentley to qpr when he borrowed jenas - only for bentley to say no thanks, or a different harry redknapp?
That's not really "ironic" is it? Doesn't true irony usually end up with the participant losing at the end in some way....Three of the things he didn't like about professional football were "twitter, social media and money".
