His biggest problem is is ego, he loves being the focal point of a team and if you build the team around him he is happy and he performs. When he is a just one of the many fish he becomes very frustrated, TBH he was top scorer in the league and won the PL twice so he was good enough, Man U fans love effort though, they love there players lookign like they give 200%, lets face it Berbs was never going to fit in no matter how much flair he has.

I don't know that that can be considered ill treatment

Sir Alex's managerial record is beyond question in my opinion, his reason for bringing on Hernandez would not have been a personal vendetta against Berbatov and I think its crazy to label it treating Berbatov poorly.

Speed, direct impact perhaps were he reasons to bring him on even if he was not scoring, Sir Alex obviously thought it was in the teams best interest, he wasn't doing it just to piss Berbatov off

I read a longer interview in the Sun (which I found on a bus seat before you mention it) where he goes on to call Fulham a 'small' club and admits he may get frustrated with his team mates not being as good as him and able to pass it as well as he can but its ok because he's already played for man utd and thus has achieved his dream. The guy is very hypocritical and is just getting what he deserves. I have no issues with a player wanting to win trophies but there are was of doing thing correctly
