He is not making demands at al, he is a free agent in the summer so if he is going to stay at Fulham then why sign now when he will have even more options then?

Fulham have asked for the clause not us according to the report

We'd surely have to bring in another to cover for Kane if we loaned him back.

I believe Fulham are on a transfer embargo meaning they are unable to buy in new players. So wanting to keep him till the end of the season makes sense. He probably just wants to make a move and not have to play for the team he no longer wants to stay at. Not very sporting on his part, but nobody knows what's going on behind the scenes.

Yep they are. And his contract expires end of season. I'd imagine he'd think his bargaining power will be better when he's a free agent, while Fulham are thinking they can pinch a couple of million from someone to guarantee his signing.

If he goes to a European club in the summer Fulham will get very little in the way of compensation. The most lucrative deal is with us. Other clubs have tried to sign him but it would appear that we are his preferred choice.
Fulham cant have their cake and eat it. Either take more money now or take a lot less in June, simples.
I don't think the lad is doing anything wrong, if he cant join us now and play, then he waits until the summer and gets a bigger contract wherever he goes. Unlike SB he isn't refusing to play for his current club, he is merely exercising his right as a player very near the end of his contract. It's exactly how we got Carrick, when he had a few months on his contract and we were prepared to buy him and Newcastle wanted him on a "Free" later that summer.

Due to the transfer embargo, Spurs must have a couple of players they can send to Fulham on loan until the end of the season. Surely that will sort the problem out......or maybe I am too simplistic.

Fulham do not have a strong hand here. He's out of contract in the summer and they are banned from signing players. They can take a low offer now or get nothing later on, assuming the player wants out. The question is, do we want him?

Ali, if i remember correctly, said im not here to sit on the bench or make the numbers up, he hasnt done bad, i think young players who know what they want are probably going to make it ahead of the sheepish type, so good on him.

surely we are looking to buy him as backup for harry for this season? wouldn't it make sense therefore NOT to loan him back and he can get his gametime in the cup competitions to allow Harry a rest??

Out of interest, if we do sign him how will commentators differentiate between Mousa and Moussa? Radio in particular will be a problem won't it?

I would prefer to get him in and get him involved in the first team straight away. But Fulham's transfer ban might work against us here. Selling him even for a small sum in Jan might be less favourable than holding onto him until the summer for Fulham.
