He has the right mentality, but not the right attitude displaying it on field. More to learn as a leader, not just paying lip service which is free.

Hope as he matures he will develop that.

There are three things we have to hope for
1. That our players wake up and remember that they are able professionals
2. That we get top 5
3. That man city's ban stands.

Top 4 is so unrealistic it's not funny, and top 5 is going to require a heroic effort.

Has he though? To me the right mentality starts with yourself. When he speaks he seems to have some ability to introspect, but on the pitch there are no signs of improvement. Silly example, but he still can't get his head around refs not giving him free kicks for falling over all the time?

As for attitude it is clearly "&"%". And I really don't mind players having a go at each other. I am "old school" in that sense if you don't track back etc. I would expect players to tell each other off, but Alli just moans when he doesn't get a pass etc. That is different. If you believe a player needs to wake up, to focus more etc. then fair enough - let him have it, but moan because the pass isn't well executed normally gets you nowhere other than hurting your team mate's confidence. Not to mention it is almost funny Alli being the one moaning considering the number of "trick passes" he misses during games.

I like Alli and I still got some hope he can become the player he has the potential to be, but most likely he won't. So many examples of Micah Richards etc. - far fewer that were able to find their path again.

Maybe he should listen to his own advice.
He has been working hard thats not in question his just in need of things to fall for him, (and) work on his attitude a bit, he is far too critical of himself.

Working hard and fighting is all well and good, but if that's all it took then Tim Sherwood would have won us a treble by now.

Lets start with the basics shall we? Half the time the problem seems to be being unable to string two or three passes together, poor positioning and poor finishing.

I say that about my son's team all the time. Heart and commitment is all well and good, but if you can't do the basics, then you are screwed
