Really sad to see - but if he couldn't even get on the pitch yesterday then it's hard to see him playing for Spurs again. I think it was quite clear as well that he stormed off down the tunnel in a huff and the reason he came back was because he either checked social media in the dressing room or someone said something to him so he tried to put on a brave face.

Only realistic way back for him here is if he gets a loan in January, then a season long loan next summer, then Mourinho leaves after his third season like he usually does and then a new manager gives him another go. But as it stands now I don't see him displacing Ndombele/Lo Celso in the centre, nor Bergwijn in the wider role.

No idea what's happening behind closed doors, but on the surface Mou's treatment of Dele is borderline criminal.
This time last year -right after Mourinho arrived- he was our best player on the pitch bar none.
Too much of an asset to write off, and too good of a player to just get rid of.
Mou is no fool though, and there's probably more to that than what the naked eye can see. Maybe he has a plan, as in Ndombele's case.

Bloody Jose trying to put together a winning team. Criminal.

I think the PSG loan that apparently is being prepared for Jan window could be the right move for Dele .

A complete new start .I reckon he's been affected by fame in the UK and to go where an appearance in public does not cause a stir
can only be good imo . Also to get away from 'mates' who repost DMs and general hangers on/yes men . Everything new, a totally new culture and a local language he doesn't speak .

A reset and time away from the social adoration his fame brings him in the UK and concentration on football could help a footballer in crisis .
Tho' ultimately he's headed for the States imo .

Makes sense all round to let him go out on loan to PSG. It’s pretty obvious that he isn’t in Jose thinking given his lack of game time this season.

Maybe he went to console Winks, who was clearly unhappy? Given that they're friends from when Dele was at MK, playing in England youth set-ups together.

I'd be more reluctant about moving Dele on permanently than Winks, if the loan to PSG option is there I'd rather that and then take stock in the summer.

Purely a case of a decent player that doesn't fit in this system. Sad times but hopefully Poch gets a good job and he can go and join him where ever he goes for a decent fee.

I think a loan would be good for Dele but I'm not sure PSG is the right place.

Is he really going to force himself into that team? If he does it could really suit him as I think a high possession, dominant team (like us when Dele peaked here) that can afford having a player like him stay high up the pitch, could be good for him. I'm not not convinced he'll get the game time to really impress, though, as he's such an awkward player to fit into most systems.

I actually think his best bet long term would be as the main man as a mid-table premier league side that builds their team around him. Bit depressing to say it, but a direct team like Palace that plays with 2 men up top would really suit Dele's style of play as he could play as a second striker where he excels.

He scored 28 league goals in his first 2 seasons - an incredible tally - playing really high up but the problem is in that role he doesn't provide enough other than goals for a team with serious aspirations. He almost needs a lesser team that's willing to play more of a 4-4-1-1 or a 4-4-2 and won't require him constantly tracking back or linking up the midfield. I could see him having big numbers again at a club that plays to his strengths - but I'm not convinced there are many top clubs in the world that would be willing to do that.

Dele not being in Jose's plans makes complete sense. The system we play atm relies on the forwards being three things: clinical, quick-thinking and intense.

Dele is supremely talented but he's never been the best finisher, he dawdles on the ball and whilst he covers a lot of ground he doesn't sprint around like Lucas, Bergwijn, Sonny etc, nor does he have their pace on the counter.

Add that to the fact that we seem to have both Ndombele and GLC competing for the #10 spot and he doesn't really stand a chance right now. Loan would do him some good.

11 goals in 46 appearances since the start of last season. nowhere near his best but not diabolical by any means. Lucas has 12 in 67 appearances. then Sonny and Kane lead the way of course.

I don't think it's fair to look solely at goals. If you think about the non-stop effort that Bergwijn, Lucas, Lo Celso and Lamela put in when they play and then compare that to Dele, I think there is your answer. I don't think any of them are as naturally talented as Dele is, but they certainly have much more desire.

Similarly it's why I don't think we've seen Bale much in the league.

I don't have much of a clue about PSG. Why would they want him on loan, especially without a right to buy clause?

Do they lack attacking midfielders? A quick look at their squad doesn't seem to show a problem. Why loan/buy Dele if you have players like Julian Draxler?

There's a previous manager of Dele who loves him and used him in a unique role who is also a previous PSG player and likely to be their next manager.

Dele can't be all that bad if PSG are looking to have him on loan-there is a talent there.Hopefully he'll have a great experience and comes back a better player. We are progressing well without him at the moment and don't really need him half-cocked. The team/sqaud have left him behind, its just happened. He needs to move on, learn his trade and come back and prove us all wrong.

Dele to PSG, Sabitzer in would be peachy. He seems like the perfect Mourinho player. But HG yadda yadda.

Not only HG problems. Sabitzer is Leipzigs captain and a regular starter. Can't see at all him leaving in January, especially as Leipzig has no financial worries. Not Levy stuff.

I think Brighton would be a decent fit for him on loan next month. They play good football but desperately need someone with end product in and around the box.

If he found a bit of form out on loan the way he did when Jose first came in, he could rack up loads of goals and assists in that side, which would obviously be very good for all parties involved.

I'd prefer a loan to one of the bottom 5 clubs...so he can try to put Arsenal into the Championship!!

Am I wrong in thinking that he spent a lot of time in and out over the last couple of years with niggling little injuries? I think that that has had a massive effect on how he has fallen off. I agree that he's not a creator and that his finishing is hot and cold, but there are mitigating factors.

I still would love to see him have a resurrection of form, but the last performance he put in was imo half arsed.

I get the feeling that if Dele wants it enough, he’d find a way back into the team. Might take him a while, but that’s no bad thing. Kane and Dele could be as formidable as Kane and Son.

I don't believe he has that fight in him.
