Im of the opinion he is the biggest problem in our squad, he's too good to be a role player but imo doesn't fit in the first 11

He isn't a LW, he isn't a CM and not creative enough to be an AM without a creative player behind which I think we lack

I think he probably best as a deep striker

I think he can be an AM if he was more disciplined and did less fancy stuff

I think Alli is pretty one-dimensional. Play behind the striker and not be too involved in the build up play. If he works hard off the ball and gets goals and assists he is an effective player. This style of player only really performs in a highly functioning team.

I believe if we can get our midfielders creating and Son and Kane performing and staying fit then Alli will contribute.

I think it’s pretty simple, if we play 433 then maybe dele isn’t the best option but if we play 4231 and get some creativity from the wing then Dele can be very effective playing off of Kane.

Joao Pedro rattled by Dele. Love how he pushed Dele over and ran away — and Watford is hyping it up and making an edit of it. Pussy :ROFLMAO:

This dude is from Fluminense youth academy. And I hate Fluminense.

I will drop a message there for sure.

I think he's best as a second (shadow) striker.

As it has been said, he wants to play off a CF/main striker and not be the CF. I don't think he enjoys receiving the ball with his back turned towards goal.

However, I believe the SS role in the way that he plays it is more of an X-factor, a shot of something extra, than a cog in the machine. At times, such a role can be a luxury and other times it can make all the difference. If he was being developed in that role from a few years back up until now, I think he would have found consistency and be very effective. He would have been a proper world-beater.

Not seen this before. And someone in the match thread was saying the tackle didn't deserve red. ?

He is clearly carrying an ankle injury, no big deal made of it but there was something going on.

He is like Van de Beek. He will make a difference in the final 3rd when the opposition parks the bus.
He isnt involved in build-up and isn't particularly hard working off the ball.
I dont know if he suits a Mourinho-team that plays mostly on the counter.
However we do need goals from MF so he will always have a place in our squad.

He’s nothing like VdB. VdB is much better all around.

imo Dele Alli could be become "England's Thomas Müller". Neither of them are visibly fast and can't dribble for shits, but what they are, is being able to read the space in the final third. TIFO made a good video showing how the role of 'Raumdeuter' fits in. Dele is mentioned as one.

A bold statement, but I even think he could fit as a deep lying playmaker or a B2B.
