Taylor Twellman saying he played poorly is all the proof you need to know he played well. Twellman is a Grade A shitsipper.
Hahaha. If Yedlin put in that performace in MLS, the US pundits would be raving about how amazing it was. It was very good performance, IMO. Could always be better but I wouldnt listen to a word Twellman says regarding players performances. Guys only good when it comes to inside type info.Taylor Twellman saying he played poorly is all the proof you need to know he played well. Twellman is a Grade A shitsipper.
Some of the comments are good. I chuckled at the "like PVA but better positional sense" comment. Soooo Yedlin's better than him, yeah? Off the back of 4 PL games and knowing he can only improve his defense which is a massive question mark for him, I think I'll take it. Hopefully Big Sam can continue his development and really improves him.
Okay sunderland lose 6-2 , how is his performance
(Younes Kaboul - 9 (MAN OF THE MATCH)
Collosal. Won everything in the air, seldom on the back foot and polished off a superb defensive performance with a spectacular forward burst and first-time, left-footed assist.)

If he continues to improve defensively at Sunderland, he might well compete for a place here. Think it was a good strategic loan for him too as at Sunderland, he would be mainly focusing on his defense without going forward too often. The club knows he's good enough going forward in the attack but his defense isnt up to standard. Going on loan to a club where he's forced to be defensive and work hard at it is good for his development in that area as long as he gets games. There might be hope for the boy at Spurs after all.http://www.si.com/planet-futbol/201...sa-trinidad-tobago-world-cup-qualifying-usmnt
Nothing revolutionary but I quite liked:
"Spurs coaches have kept in touch with him, and he’s looking forward to playing the rest of the season with Sunderland, then returning to Spurs and competing for a spot in the team"

subbed off after 20 minutes today and not because of injury
Hopefully he'll have more chances to show what he can do. I don't see a career at Spurs for him personally but it'd be great if he can have a career somewhere in England.
