Dave Jones sacked as Cardiff manager

...for not making the Championship playoffs apparently. I guess this paves the way for him to be the next West Ham manager, though if he's got any sense he'll stay well clear of that pile of shite.

Wouldn't count on it, he's been sacked because Cardiff had a squad that should've won the Championship this season, but failed to even get to the play-off final. Strong chance that they'd underachieve again next season if he'd stayed.

Seemed an odd move to me, he's had to sell a few players during his time there but has then been very shwerd in picking quality replacements and they're always up and around there.
