22 mins this has been posted and no replies. Says everything.
I can imagine that the vast majority of fans stopped caring about him after that interview in 2017. Pissed me off at the time, but Danny Rose is 'whatever' for me now.

No hate, not much love or sympathy either.

I wish him the best of luck. At his peak he was an absolute warrior for us. I choose to remember the good stuff.

I know that he hasn't always been everyone's cup of tea but he is talented, he is forthright and not worried about expressing his opinions. Definitely not an identikit professional football player. It's quite sad as he's the last connection with an era that seems a long time ago now. We did pretty well out of Leeds overall.

Was he wrong though?

One of the best left backs around at one point so hard to understand what went wrong.
Will never forget that volley against Woolwich and his reaction afterwards.
All the best for the future Danny, in whatever direction it takes you.

I know a lot of people have been down on him because of things he's said in the press, but our recent history has shown he wasn't far off in what he said. Maybe the way and channel he used to say it are questionable, but he's very much not a cookie-cutout football player and that is refreshing, at the very least.

Whatever else one can say about him, he's been a good servant to the club and I remember some wonderful moments with him in the left-back berth, and there's nothing that can be said about that debut volley that hasn't already been said.

Fare thee well, Danny and thank you.

I'll not say that he didn't piss me off sometimes but I do like the lad.
It also appears that he's actually done a really good job with the youngsters this season, giving them good advice and generally being there to help them (some of them have said as much).
Let's face it, he turned up to watch and support them the day after he was released. To me, that says a lot about him.

I wouldn't mind him coming back to our youth set-up at some stage as I think he's got a lot to offer.

Good luck Danny and I hope to see you back at Spurs in the not-to-distant future.

He was also going through some personal difficulties with a long injury layoff and some resulting depression when the 'press' stuff all errupted. If he can't get cut a bit of slack under those circumstances it's a pretty poor show to be honest.

Not necessarily on everything he said in that extremely poorly timed and long interview in The Sun, but that's an entirely different matter.

he's soured his reputation and chances of a coaching roll here.

I think that is mostly because everyone is frantically trying to catch up with the posts in the new manager thread more than anything.

Shame things turned a little sour towards the end, good servant and very good player was a significant part of the progress we have made as a club, even if ultimately we have yet to win something.
