Elite Player Performance Plan, which sets out a number of ways that youth training works, which includes a fixed fee for young player transfers replacing the old system of going to tribunals.
Is it FA or FIFA led?

If we want him and £9m will get him, do the deal, I understand the "free in the summer" argument but if £9m removes the competition in the summer it will save us money in the long run because we'll be outbid on wages or we'll have to pay more in wages to him not to mention another striker will cost more anyway if we don't get him.
I'm surprised by Trix's ITK but he seems pretty emphatic.

Why would burnley sell now and lose their best player just to get 3-4m more ??
He's not their best player. Ings has scored 6 and Barnes and Boyd (MOTM) were better than him yesterday and have scored 4 each. Vokes is a crowd favourite who scored 1 in 2 last season.
Ings has more potential than those guys. How much more?

4 posts after the one I posted that it was Agent chatter from the Burnley QPR game.

(FAO of those that copy my stuff across)
I have no issues with what I post being transferred across but could you please post all of it if you can, as often things can be taken out of context. I am a supporter and a long time forum member before I started to hear anything, and as such I often post as that (just a forum member). If it has come from my good source I always post that, but on other occasions it will just be bits passed on to my mate from various agents( which I always post aswell). Not everything I post is solid ITK but I do say so when I believe it is.

Sorry I was just going by the update on the ITK, I'm not on COYS so I can't copy across, perhaps I should have said sure rather than emphatic.

No worries my friend. Wasn't aimed at you, or anyone in particular for that matter. Just a general point that I used you post to make (y)

It's a travesty. Causes further all the best young players to be stockpiled at the same top clubs. It's not really for this thread at all but it's caused lots of lower division clubs to close their academies. The compensation they now get for a youngster leaving is now tens of thousands of pounds when before higher division clubs might have to pay a million quid for a youngster. Money previously lower division teams relied on to keep their academies open. Obviously it's not always players going for millions in the past but enough money.

As a matter of interest, what would be your assessment of Ings value, if he were on a contract with longer tio run at Burnley ?

Would be a great bit of business to get Ings for £9m now. Either way we'll need to sign another striker in the summer and with each premier league place worth £1.5m he could pay back the difference between the tribunal amount and his fee in one game.

Levy does actually have previous in paying to get an out of contract player 6 months earlier. Gilberto, the Brazilian so called Left Back cost us £1.9m and Lewis Holtby cost us £1.5m both just six months before they were available for free.

Really hope we bite the bullet on this one and get him now.
