He's quoted today as saying he doesn't want to go to a club and disappear. He wants to play so fair play to him if it's true. That would rule out Utd and City. He want be first choice at Liverpool either and I doubt he would with us. So I can't think where he's going to go and be first choice.

They have Pellé, Mané and Long all playing and scoring before you even think about Jay Rodriguez coming back.

We have Kane. That's about it.
Pelle and Long are shit, and there's no telling if J-Rod can get back to his best. And then there's that small thing of him supporting them.

That's your opinion though. He said he wants to go to somewhere where he'd play.

If Koeman rates Pellé and Mané, then there's no more guarantee he'd play more games there than he would at the Lane.

Obviously that's my opinion. In my opinion your opinion is based on wishful thinking, though I still hope he signs for Spurs.

Not so much wishful, I still think there's logic in there if it's based on game time.

I'm not really fussed, as it's been ages since we signed a decent striker and I'm not 100% sure if it's Ings that will cure that.

Hmmm I think Ings is underrated by many because of the team he plays for.

I don't think he will ever be top class but could be a decent back up to Kane.

I've watched him closely and I see good movement, really sound technique, ability to find space and make his own space and above all hard work.

For the low fee he'll command I reckon he's worth taking a chance on. I could see him Atleast getting 10-12 goals as a bench/back up option.

Kane can't play every game, I could see Ings getting enough game time to choose us over anyone (bar Everton IF they sold Lukaku) currently outside the top 7, so I would say Liverpool & Southampton would be our biggest opponents for his signature and I think, with Sturridge's injury issues, Liverpool will be under pressure to bring in a bigger name.

He played 180 minutes against us in the league and failed to score. If he can't score a goal in that amount of time against our defense, that should be a red flag. Scoring against us should be like the lowest bar set and he couldn't manage that.

I'm partly kidding, by the way. He'd be an okay addition.
Falcao failed to score vs our U21s.

I would be very happy if we got Ings. Reckon he'd fit in well.

It does smell like a Rodgers signing to me though. Depends if they can shift Balo and Lambert I guess.

I really rate Ings. He's got a bit of everything - technique, intelligence and is fairly physical.

He's a little bit 'Kane-lite', but that's exactly what we need as cover/competition for Kane

Ings would be a great purchase... to solidify our place as 7th best team in the league.
I suppose you want someone who's scored a decent amount of goals from some other league instead then. Because that's always worked out.

Mane's a winger, as is Rodriguez. Long's shit. Pelle was good at the beginning of the season and has fallen off. Do they even have 20 goals between the 3 of them? Ings has like 9 or 10 goals this year in Burnley's side. He'd walk into the first XI at Saints.
