Daniel Levy is now talking directly to Oliver Glasner about the idea of becoming Tottenham Hotspur’s new manager this summer. That is according to Football Transfers who report that Levy is in talks with Glasner about replacing Antonio Conte come the end of the season.

Everyone saying we better not be talking to him. They would have said the same thing if Eddie Howe had been talked about pre-Newcastle. That turned out pretty good for them. When Poch first took over, most of us were very underwhelmed. I'm bored with the 'big name' managers. Sometimes a lesser known manager just needs a break. Sometimes they just fit with a club.

*edit* It doesn't really matter who we get anyway, so...

😂😅 the nightmares are coming true.

He ticks the lesser known manager box but I’ve watched quite a lot of E.Frankfurt and I’m sorry but they play a 3-4-3 and it’s really not that different at all to the style we’ve had to endure under Conte and Stellini, it’s fairly rigid it’s a mid block with some counter pressing.

If it is him I hope I’m completely wrong and he revolutionises us, he seems like a likeable character and most of our fans won’t know much about him so would give him more patience than me but I’m just absolutely not a fan unfortunately.

They’ve been very very off form the last 10-12 games and they were lucky to win the final last year against Rangers, they don’t score a huge amount of goals but for me more importantly they don’t create a huge amount of chances or have a huge amount of possession, I just think we’ll end up being slightly less bored than we are now but it’s not the change to a proper Tottenham DNA style of play that Arne Slot would give us or Naglesman would’ve given us or that Big Ange would give us etc etc.

Just my opinion but yea really not keen on Glasner :(

I do think you’re absolutely right about a lesser known manager being good for us, that’s not my problem with him at all, it’s just I don’t think his style of play is particularly great and he favours a mid block fairly rigid 3-4-3 and his teams don’t have that much possession it’s more about transitions and I just don’t think it’s the change we need or style of play we want that will get the fans and players and club all excited and together again.

I see the odd lazy journalist article writing about Glasners exciting brand of football and I’m thinking have they actually every watched Eintract Frankfurt or what lol! They’re not quite Jose/Conte levels of boring but they’re certainly not particularly exciting imo. Sorry.

I hope they're going to do another article when the conversation finishes.

I hope we are talking to him and Slot, and De Zerbi and Enrique, Nagelsmann and anyone else who we maybe interested .

I don't want an open/shut process, we have time , get a DOF in and line up interviews in a couple of weeks for potential managers to put forward their proposals.

I don't want Glasner but I also don't think it's healthy to put all our eggs in one basket.

Yeah, not happening. Fortunately, that source is unreliable so I'll continue to have a good day and wait till we announce Slot

The key decision is going to depend on who excites Harry apart from his missus
