They signed Denis Suarez on loan last season. He made 4 appearances which is the same as Kim Kallstrom managed when he was on loan there. The Kallstrom deal is still one of the strangest deals I've seen. They signed him on a six month contract despite discovering during the medical that he had a back injury that would keep him out for months.
Someone got paid...

And are gambling on getting CL again next season, and when they dont they will be in even more trouble.

Fine, but if reports are to be believed, they're getting two targets we hoped to get.

One outright, and one because of the structure of the deal - but two players none the less

Not the end of the world if we get Lo Celso and others, but a (small) shame

One target who they won't have until next season.
One target they won't have next season.

It's hardly a good deal for them, even if it is convenient for them

3 and half weeks to go .

Funny it's all gone quiet. Thought it would be relentless after ndombele and clarke

I wonder if that was it and now it's a matter of sell before u buy . In which case if trip goes this week I imagine the rumours for sess will heat up again

I dont care if we end up with Lo Celso and Eriksen signs a new deal
Yep. He's essentially replacing Ramsey for them and may struggle as he doesn't exactly have any reliable players around him.

Whereas he'd be complimenting Ndombele, Lo Celso/Eriksen, Winks, Sissoko for us.

I'd like us to sign him as he'd be a good option but not if it's just for a year with no guarantee of us having first dibs.

Be annoying to lose out on him but if it’s because it’s literally a year long loan then that’s fine, it’s not a deal we want or need.

I think it's more likely because our first targets are all on holiday after summer activity. We are probably being more patient as they won't be arriving at preseason for another week at least.

Sessegnon - It's been reported that Fulham want 40m, we aren't paying that and we are probably going to wait for them to realise it'll be a lower fee. Sess picked up an injury too which means we won't be needing to get it done immediately. It can play out a little longer.

Lo Celso - I believe that this is the furthest down the road and we are waiting for Betis to get things in order before we finalise the bid/offer. Lo Celso only went on holiday last week, so again no mega rush to get him in.

Ceballos - He is on holiday and this will play a part but I also think this seems to be dependent on a number of factors - convincing Madrid to allow a permanent transfer, convincing Ceballos to want a permanent move/long loan plus the Eriksen situation.

Let's see. I like my version too - at the moment - but I probably will start to sweat if we are in the same position at the end of next week as you don't really want to have loads of business to do in the final two weeks.

Signing Ceballos on loan without option to buy is bad, but Arsenal fans saying that they beat us in race for another player and forever in our shadow etc is even worse :D

Let them think that, then in a years time when Ceballos is wanted back by Madrid after a good season or, even worse for them, has struggled and Madrid are happy to let him go, they won't be thinking that.
