Southern Spain and Latam - 'Se-bal-yos'
Northern Spain/Basque - 'the-bal-yos' (as in lispy tongue action rather than English 'the')

He's from Andalucia in Southern Spain, nowhere near the Basque country. I think your confusing Betis (Seville) with Bilbao, who are in the Basque region.

Having said that, I think his name is pronounced 'the-bay-os'.

It's like when I hear an English commentator say SUAR-ITH for Luis Suarez - it might be right (I don't know if it is or isn't) but he sounds like an absolute wankhamper saying it.

The th sound is only applicable in Spain. Which is why I'm constantly bemused when English commentators pronounce Raul Jimeneth when he's Mexican you numpties.

Just go for the S like everyone else does

While Ceballos may only want a loan now, I’m willing to bet on our culture and Real Madrid’s short attention span convincing him to stay if he has a successful year with us. Players love Pochettino, I’ll bet on him winning Ceballos over during the course of the season.

Ceballos before last season told "Marca" he blames Zidane for not playing - when Kroos or Modrić were injured ZZ preferred to change the formation than give him a chance.

In 18/19, he played 40% of minutes for Lopetegui and Solari, but just 18% for Zidane.

Don't know why he only prefers only one year loan, really. Zidane will stay for a couple of years.

I'm sure it has been posted here previously that there is an issue with his agents/management team and that if he's loaned for a year and then his transfer happens, then they aren't involved anymore.

I am a bit concerned on the long term benefit of this, if he just sees us a stepping stone. Would be a good addition, but not at the cost of holding back others, if his heart is never really going to be in it for us.
