I do have a feeling that this isn't going to turn out great for United.
Yeah I agree.

He'll score a ton of goals, as he did at Juve, but he wont track back in the slightest, will mess with the balance of the team and will also create huge expectations and even more forensic analysis of every poor performance.

While it sounds like his wages will be a lot more manageable than they were at Juve, it's clear that they were overall a worse team with Ronaldo in it, despite his goal scoring exploits.

Can't deny the romance of it, though. Utd fans must feel like we did when Bale came back.

I think people are hoping rather than thinking, he will make United infinitely better, I love him so I cant wait to see him play. They currently have Martial, Greenwood and Cavani. Considering this signing will pay for itself its a no brainer for United, he is still a possible goal a game player. This is nothing like Bale coming back to us or Sanchez going to United.

Sometimes it’s best not to go back, same with bale, he done well but it wasn’t as good as the thought of having him back.

For those of you that enjoyed the Blue Moon Harry Kane thread, the comedy gold hasn't stopped in the Ronaldo thread.

I do find it bizarre how excited United fans are getting over this.

It's the logic that any new signings is the best one rife among all football fans I guess, but on paper this one doesn't make much sense.

They are paying him 25 million a year

I think it's a great signing for them. They badly need a good centre forward and he'll score tons for them.

Can definitely understand why they’re getting excited, same with bale coming back here, was it the best for everyone who knows? Ronaldo has scored 100+ goals in 130 ish games while he’s been in Italy.
Will it work out? Who knows, but he’s definitely still one of the best around

I’d love him to come, but not to Spurs. Great player but I want the likes of Gio, Gil and Bergwijn to shine.
If Kane did go, I think he would have been a great fit for us as a caretaker for a year until a permanent striker became available.

I am sure he will score goals but so would Greenwood.
