Update:

Firstly, id like to say I dont care what other people think now. The Victor Moses link has pushed me over the edge lol. Ive been loyal to Spurs for 30 years, but my patience has finally gone. Im not spending my hard earned cash to go an see a team so devoid of ambition. Levy, yu can take you Fazio's, Davies, Trippiers, Wimmers and shove em up your ass. You take me for a mug. No net spend in 6 years. We are the 13th richest club in the world, revenues of 200m next season. we deserve better than what we are getting and being charged for.

Ive bought 2 chelsea memberships. A friend has 2 arsenal. Next year, I will be going to stamford bridge and the emirates as a neutral to see some decent football. I wont be back until Levy and Lewis are gone.

Im gonna enjoy watching Fabregas, Sanchez, Ozil, Cech, Costa, Oscar, Willian, Courtois et all. And not feel guilty about it. Im spurs through and through. But Im also a football fan. I aint gonna take this shower of shit served up at WHL anymore.

Good. Bye.

Problem is I live in south london!

How is it any easier for you to get to Stamford Bridge or the Emirates from South London? you cited one of the reasons for wanting to stop coming to the Lane as being the travel time taken to the Lane

It's not like you live in Milton Keynes and are going to watch the MK Dons instead

Now you're just very clearly being a WUM

Enjoy watching Arsenal and Chelsea next year then, but don't call yourself Spurs through and through because clearly you're not

It's easy, I have always watched Spurs since 1973, I used to go and watch my local team too, Romford (long since defunct). These days I go to see Yokohama F Marinos as often as I see Spurs, two or three times a season. It's as much as I can do when it's a twelve hour flight.

Absolutely not a WUM. Whats the point of turning up to moan? If I go to a neutral ground I can just enjoy the game without caring who wins.

In the old days people would watch Arsenal one weekend Spurs the next. Same with Utd and City. The atmosphere around WHL is poisonous at the moment. I need some time away.

I live a couple of hundred miles away and go to my local teams' home games. Happy with my dual supporting. The general expense of regularly following Spurs is tough for some people.

I will always be Tottenham, but non league football is a great way to get your fix of live football too.

Good God. What a bizarre post by the OP. Sorry, but the post really does paint you as the worst possible type of football fan.

On a slightly different note, having grown up in Tottenham, I "can't help but support them". Even if we lose in the most emphatic style possible (which we've done several times) and I think to myself "I can't bloody go on supporting them", I cannot help myself. Tottenham Hotspur Football Club appears to be in my blood. But now I, like some other posters have moved (to S London) and making it up to lots of Spurs games is difficult, I do try and go to some local (AFC Wimbledon) games to take my young son and watch a bit of football live. It's cheaper and closer. But I cannot compare the feeling of sitting in WHL and watching the boys kick-off on a match day. Trudging up from Seven Sisters and back down the High Road are experiences that bring me an inner peace. Even if / when we lose.

Get a grip, son.

You're either a WUM or an unbelievably shit fan. Personally I think you're the former (an alt account for Prawnsandwich), but either way do you honestly think that saying you're getting a season ticket fo the most disgusting club on the planet is going to win you any friends on a Spurs site? Whether you're a real Spurs fan (unlikely) or a WUM, it's pretty pathetic.

Maybe it just shows how disillusioned I am with the current ownership. That I would go to such crazy lengths to see a decent game of football. I thought maybe we would learn our lesson of the past couple of seasons, but clearly we haven't.

We bought dross 3 seasons ago, we bought rubbish last year, and we are doing it again. Can you honestly say that MP went into the boardroom and asked for these players? Did AVB? Did Jol? Did Ramos?

The only manager that had a say was HR and that was because we almost got relegated.

Its not the way to run a club. You hire a manager and back him. If not, why hire in the first place. Hugo, Modric. They are all brought here on false pretences. They say we want champions league. And just how are we gonna achieve that? With Swanseas left back? Burnleys right back? Colognes centre back?

Yes they are good with the finances. But fuck me, we are a London club. We charge twice as much as Man City and Man Utd, so its not that much of an achievement. we have just about every FTSE100 company on our doorstep, is it any wonder our hospitality business brings in a bit of cash? We are run by a bunch of tight fisted gits.

Before you go on about the stadium. Its not rocket science we need one. A sponsorship would pay for half. Our TV deal pays for the rest. Whats 200 mil over 30 years? Not a lot. Levy and Lewis are not magicians. They are money grabbing business men that will work to grow the clubs value with the least investment possible. Then sell for a quick buck.

Wake TF up. I'm not going to pay for Levys retirement fund anymore.

@Hoops

My apologies. You're clearly not an alternative name for Prawnsandwich. Far too articulate.

I'm really not happy with how the club is run right now. Seems empty to me. However, I'll support the club regardless. I certainly wouldn't pay money towards a club like Chelsea - one of the most despicable clubs going.

You're not going to be a popular poster if you choose to go to gooner and chav games. Having to travel all the way from south London? Fuck off!!!

Its not about popularity, its principle. I will be straight back as soon as we get rid of these leeches. Tell me, what have they put into the club? Lewis is worth $5.5bn. IIRC £15m from a share issue in David Pleats days as caretaker. They bought the club for a hundred mil. Asking for 1bn (correct me if I'm wrong). What does that tell you??

Capital appreciation. Do you need to renovate your house to benefit when you sell it? No, the main thing is you have a house, then sit on it and watch the value increase. What is Levy's degree? A 1st in land economy from Cambridge.

Wake TF up. ENIC are nothing but a private equity company looking for a good return. we are the mugs paying for it.

I think too many on here are throwing the baby out with the bathwater. What the OP says is 100% true- ENIC are leeches and we are being taken to the cleaners by a bunch of tight-fisted, greedy gits who don't give a flying fuck about anything but the bottom line. A while back a guy on COYS said that Levy gives the illusion that he wants to make the Champions League but in reality he doesn't, because of the investment that would be needed to maintain top-teir status. Rather, he's content to watch the value of the club skyrocket using a business model that simply maintains the status quo.

The OP is sick of this shit, and he's airing his disgust. Our football the past three years has been fucking woeful; I literally stopped watching/lost interest multiple times last season- something I have never done in almost fifteen years of watching Spurs. We play putrid football; I actually preferred watching Leicester to us.

Baldy and co. know full well that 99.999% of us won't do what the OP is threatening; instead, we'll pony up the dough for the dogshit they're serving up, year after year, without question. Hoops is just pissed- and isn't gonna take it anymore. He didn't say he's gonna support Chelsea, he said he wants to watch good footballers, something which we don't have.

We have a team of shit. Tottenham are nigh unwatchable these days. Two or three stellar matches out of sixty does not an exciting season make.

Look- I wouldn't go to Stamford Bridge- and I doubt Hoops will either- but he's heartbroken- and so am I. I feel like there's an empty space where a club used to be. Our team has zero identity from top to bottom.

I should probably be posting this in the Unpopular Opinion Amnesty thread but fuck it. I think the OP's mostly spot on.

Depends on what you mean. In my circumstance I've moved to Brisbane far removed from my beloved Spurs. I'm supporting Brisbane Roar as it my local team but will always support Tottenham. I would never just stop supporting them and support another team. That's just odd!!!

Great post you have done well in keeping the bile out of it and been rational whilst still passionate. Hoops was always going to get a rough ride with such a post and I fully get why. But I am fed up with not competing and whilst two months left we seem to be doing the same old shit this window. My clubs being destroyed and have often thought about supporting a second lower league club closer to home. I just can't and that's what DL realises. I just hope once sold we bring investment to the team and get some heart back

I think you're trying to be a WUM

What reason was there to list all the Chelsea and Arsenal players you want to enjoy watching next year

Hoops enjoy the Arsenal and Chelsea games next season, but be real you're not Spurs through at through (if you were you'd rather watch us play shit than watch our rivals play well)

I think a real fan sticks to a club through thick and thin.

but yeah i know people who change the club they support.

at the end of the day..... MAKE UP YOUR DAM MIND AND PICK A CLUB!

Chelsea have ruined football on every level so it's pure wum to talk about giving them money. Arsenal are now getting some rewards after ripping their fans off for a number of years especially with their stadium move and raising the bar on corporate sell out football. So again, crap Wum protest choice.

Having said that - if Poch gets dumped after no discernible backing I may take a break from Enic's Spurs for a while - and eventually you suspect the stadium will bring us closer to those other clubs both positively and negatively.. But I'd never switch clubs what a load of rubbish.

I don't think there's anything wrong with going to watch another team. I used to watch Coventry every week while at uni there and Venezia when I lived in Venice. But I could never 'support' anyone else
