I can't use another team in FIFA or Football Manager, it just doesn't feel the same. I could certainly watch another team, I'd even go watch the scum simply for the entertainment and experience. I just couldn't support another team. I follow Juve and at a time Valencia, my favoured teams in other leagues but could never say I supported them.

I've supported Barca for 25 years. Still doesn't come close to the emotional investment I have in Spurs, but I can enjoy cheering them on.

I've been to see both Bristol teams out of convenience, but whenever I get the chance I'm happy to travel across to London (along with all the extra costs) to see Spurs live. Quicker and easier to get to other Prem teams, but for me that's not what it's about.

My Dad always kept up with Hull (his home team) and after recently moving back there he now has a season ticket. Our last home game of the season was one of the weirdest is ever been to. After bringing me to see Spurs for 30 years he really didn't want us to win. I had t tell him to be quiet a couple of times, he even shouted offside when Rose got our 2nd. Made for interesting trip back to mine

Nothing wrong with watching other teams. I don't understand how people can "support" 2 teams but I guess it depends on the levels of support. Bad enough following 1 club.

Tbh I was almost willing Hull on watching that game. We had nothing to play for and I didn't want them to go down. In retrospect I'm happy we finished 5th but I still would have been happy if we had lost and hull stayed up

Anyone can 'watch' another team, but you can only really support one team imo.
I've been on holiday and gone to watch a 20/20 with my other half and in 10 minutes we were back at the B&B and I remember thinking I wish I got home from Spurs that quick.
I guess it depends what you're looking for. I go to watch the game, not to have a nice meal. I meet friends have a chat and support my team. There aren't so many 'great' days at the moment but beating Chelsea and Arse last season made up for a lot.

"Our kits are a bit hit and miss."

Might have to put that with the other ridiculous quotes in my sig.

I don't even make eye contact with other teams. I think there are certain websites that hook people up who want to do the dirty. Personally I think it's wrong and you shouldn't be supporting that team if your just going to go around with other clubs on the weekend. Pretty sure it's in the bible aswell. Bad stoning not good stoning.

Often watch other teams, live and on the telly.
Supported various local teams,
last season my grandsons under 11's.

But but but, one team is for life.
The current Chairman, manager players are just for Xmas.
I believe in something called the Tottenham way
and love to see glimpses of it,
or promises of glimpses of it.
Or glimpses of promises of it.
I dream of an all Academy squad
or is that a fantasy,
always playing in the same kits.

It's all about the dream and the good memories.
Reality often is a disappointment
in all spheres of life.
Nurse the dream.

And this is not a haiku, ode, ballad or whatever.
It's the way I tell em.

I could never support another team. I've been with Spurs since I was a kid, and regard them almost as extended family. We know the way each of them play, even when they've changed their hairstyle! Many years ago I even won a piece of carpet from the old west stand in a competition where I had to identify three players from their legs! These guys mean something to me and have done for many years through highs and lows. When we do well I'm so happy for them, when we don't do well, I feel for the players as though they were my sons. Change team? NEVER!

I think the interesting thing here is how difficult it is for the club to get the new stadium right, as there are so many different people who want different experiences from their matchdays now.

I support Tottenham first then every team that plays against arsenal, Liverpool, chelsea, and United.
My level of hate is
1.arsenal
2.Liverpool
3.Chelsea
4.United

So when they play each other this is who I support. I like to laugh:)

BK (before kids) I used to go to see Northampton Town FC as they were local, affordable and tickets easily attainable. This didn't stop me being Spurs through and through though. At half time trying to check the Spurs score on WAP! Christ those were the days.

The difference for me - I like to see the cobblers win but don't care if they lose. With Spurs I want to see a win, I want to see good football, I want goals, I want passion and when we lose...I care.

Also with some of my mates, I feel an affiliation to their team but not when they play against Spurs - Hull City and Sunderland to name a couple.

I went with a couple of mates to see Inter Milan v Chelsea (when Jose was at Inter) - for me it was a trip to the San Siro, a CL match and whilst surrounded by complete ****s...it was a decent experience and Chelsea lost...brilliant.

And we wonder why the atmosphere is getting worse in the ground.

I went to the last home game and felt out of place singing songs, chanting etc.

Am I the one that is doing it wrong???

For me Premier League football is all about Spurs. I would have little interest in it without them. The only interest I would have would be in local smaller clubs.

There is no wrong or right, tbh. In an ideal world everyone would go along every week and sing their hearts out, but that's not the way it is at Spurs, or ever had been as far as I can remember (late '80s).

You get the young lads and lasses, beered up who want to sing, and you have the older fans, perhaps going with their kids, who've can't or won't.

For, me it's all about the Kop stand in the new stadium, and making sure young fans, particularly those who go to away games are placed in the centre of it, hopefully in safe standing rail seating. It may be social engineering, but then place younger, season ticket holders around them, and we should see a focus for the songs and atmosphere which the rest of the stadium will feed off.

You are spot on about 'Tottenham area' it is a shithole and transport puts me right off.

I actually hate going, its not that enjoyable, so can relate to you, but I've just simply stopped going.

might go once or twice a season, i genuinely love watching football at home on my own terms, hate watching it in the pub with other idiots too, me and a few mates some of them spurs fans are good enough for me, doesn't mean i don't support them any less, just don't get wound up by the journeys or the expense of it all.

Plus now living out in Kent they are no other teams (Ashford United!) Dover or even Gillingham.. no thanks.

The move to Stratford could have swayed me though......

I didn't want Hull to go down but I really wanted us to finish above L'pool so it was a tough call. Not the easiest game I've sat through.

I'm going to be watching non-league Dulwich Hamlet a bit this season... I think it's fine, as long as my current team doesn't find out.. :sneaky:

No.

When we lived in Whetstone, a Barnet supporter hearing me talk on the radio about the expense of watching a Premiership club invited me to watch Barnet instead. While I do have a soft spot for them as ex-Spurs players have been associated with them, as I used to for Leyton Orient decades ago, I could never support another team on a regular basis. I am content to be an armchair Spurs supporter..
