Personally, I'll be sad to see Kyle go. He's lifted the teams spirits behind the scenes with his pranking about in the past. I like the guy and wish him well
If Walker wants out and we can get a monster fee for him I'm fine with it. There were plenty of times last season when I wanted Trippier to start and I also want to see KWP get his chance. If we have to lose a first teamer, Walker is the one for me. We're much more solid defensively with 3 CBs anyway and I'm sure Trippier's defence will improve with more game time. If we do go for a replacement/cover, I hope it's Pereira who can play on the left as well.
We will suffer if he leaves. He's not the finished article but Trippier is even less so because he's more likely to be targeted. Walker puts the opposition on the back foot.
its most likely going to happen that Walker goes to City, so lets fleece them for every penny and back Trippier all the way -he is a solid player and he will get better as time goes on....
Also, lets hope there are no more first team player sales - i do not expect anymore but this is football and its a crazy world
This is the exact blue print of how Levy wants Tottenham to work, buy Walker/any player for small money, £2 million in Walkers case, loan him out to gain experience, he becomes a top player for us, then in his late twenties you sell him for a small fortune, in this case around £50 million, while you already have his replacement.
If Walker goes, he'll sign a 4/5 year deal, at the end of that, he won't be worth much at all.
