trouble is it was over the 3 years, but only 3 years ago his stats where so good it's spread over this length of time.

when Hoddle used to step up, you knew the keeper had to make a very good save, then Bale came along and you got excited when he stood over it. 3 years ago we then had Eriksen, we still have Eriksen, but now days when he stands over it i just hope he clears the wall, but when he does it's been wide or high, occasionally hitting the woodwork, but very rarely making the keeper work

Considering the chance of actually scoring from one is around 6% it's actually pretty good.

It's one of the reasons why I wish we had a few more inventive freekicks because the chances of scoring are so low

I laughed. When was the last time he scored or ever came close on a free kick? A year ago? Same with setting up for others. And dont even get me started on corners. Our set pieces are largely a joke.

It's interesting that Eriksen is one of the best in the league in direct free kick (even when he hasn't scored for a while), but from corners or indirect freekicks he's one of the worst.

Eriksen tends to score in runs of free kicks. Wouldn't be surprised if he bangs a few in soon.
